Have you tried something like:
CASE WHEN (`Variable`-`Date Updated`) = MIN(CASE WHEN `Date Updated` <= `Variable` THEN `Variable`-`Date Updated` END) OVER (PARTITION BY `Opp Name`) THEN 'Closest' ELSE 'Exclude' END
And filtering on the beast mode = Closest?
Regarding your beast mode do you have any aggregation that's being performed on the card?

@kplunkett13 Was just delayed a smidge from the DP release as there were some issues with handling variables. App studio support in Sandbox and Publish should be here shortly. Waiting on an exact date. but no longer then next month or so I would imagine.

Re: Dynamic Currency Symbol Formatting
There are only 4 currency symbols available on Domo cards. If Domo could add more symbols, like Korean won ₩, it would be epic. There are so many currency symbols in the world, and I would like to hand-pick them in my Domo instance. Also, there are quite a few other dollars aside from USD, like A$ (AUD), C$ (CAD), and S$ (SGD).

It's been a minute. I have to re-read the problem to see what it is you are trying to solve. Then I need to recreate a data sample. You say, "It is going in a gauge card, I just provided the table for context into the data."
So you want a date filter, a table of data, and a gauge showing the percentage of repeat customers over the number of new customers. In your original screenshot you say 33.33%. But 4 repeat customers over 3 new customers would be 1.33.
If we create a field on the table called Repeat Customer Indicator with the following formula:
CASE
WHEN Customer Status = 'Repeat Customer' THEN 1
ELSE 0
END
And we create a gauge card with the following formula:
SUM(Repeat Customer Indicator) / COUNT(DISTINCT PhoneNo)
And create a filter card for date filtering. You would have results like this:
With the gauge representing the percent of repeat customers / new customers.
4/3 = 1.33
3/3 = 1
1/3 = .33

@ArborRose settings appears when you are viewing the dataflow. If you are on the dataset click the 3 dots then view dataflow.

This is a good idea. It's a relatively small thing, but can create quite a bit of friction when editing a DataFlow. I'll add this to my list of desired authoring canvas updates.
