Re: Row Combine
@EWold - You don't need to include UE_OrgUnitID in the second part of the ETL tile.
You only want to aggregate the three time values that you listed earlier.
QA_TimeStarted -> Maximum
QA_TimeCompleted -> Maximum
CA_DateAccess -> Maximum
This will take your data and provide you with a single row of data for each unique grouping of
- UE_OrgUnitID
- OU_MasterCourses_CourseName
- OU_CourseIsActive
Each row will contain the most recent value for each of the times listed above.
Re: Are Averaged Aggregated Percentages % Straight Averages or Weighted Averages?
Domo aggregates your data based on the groupings you're using in your card. So in your example if you're doing it at a Zip code level it would have 5/10 (50%) and 400/100 (40%)
If you remove the zip code field and replace it with the county it would pull all the values that match that criteria / buckets you've defined so you'd have (40 + 5) / (1000 + 10).
Short answer: weighted average - It doesn't do average of average.
Re: Sharing Dashboard with viewers of another dashboard
It is a best practice to use groups when providing access to pages, so that it is not a tedious process to give access to additional pages to the same people. I would suggest creating groups and adding those pages to the appropriate groups.
A short-term workaround might be to do the following:
- Go to the Admin Center and click on Pages,
- Select the Dashboard 7 page and select move pages and make it a subpage of Dashboard 6 and choose Inherit permissions from parent page.
This will add all 165 people to the Dashboard 7 page.
You can then move it back to its original location by doing the move page function again and tell it to keep existing permissions.
Re: Replicating SQL statement in Magic ETL Formula tool
Does your dataset include future fiscal years so that you need the where clause for "DATE_VALUE" = current_date? if not you could just use a group by tile (you may need to add a constant tile before hand with a dummy constant to group on) and get max(fiscal_year).
Otherwise you could use the filter tile to filter where date_value = current_date, and then do the group by tile to get the max. Then you can join back to your dataset.

Re: Replicating SQL statement in Magic ETL Formula tool
You can't do aggregation or filtering in a formula tile. It's only simple calculations or functions are allowed.
As @mhouston stated, use a filter tile to filter your dataset to get the current date, and then do a group by tile to get the max fiscal date.
Re: Setting up a count off of different date rules in ETL
From a syntax perspective, you are missing an END statement. You only have one, but you need two because you have two CASE statements.
Re: Magic ETL formula Help
Have you tried using an alter column tile to change your data type to a string before your formula?
Re: Dashboard Filters
This is because you're attempting to compare the min and max values against each other. The only time this will be true is if you're looking at a records with a single Period End Date value. Once you go to the entire year the minimum value will never be the maximum value.
If you're wanting to display a message to have the user select a single period_end_date then I'd recommend using a count distinct in your case statement:
CASE WHEN COUNT(DISTINCT `Period_End_Date`) = 1 THEN DATE_FORMAT(MIN(`Period_End_Date`,'Week of %b %d, %Y','month of %b %d, %Y') ELSE 'Select a single Ending Period' END
Re: Extracting the Date Based on a pattern
Yes no problem , no need to say WHEN again ... This way should clear out the error
CASE WHEN LEFT(`ORDERSTATUS`,1) ='*' OR `ORDERSTATUS` like '%BAM%' THEN DATE_FORMAT(RIGHT(TRIM(`ORDERSTATUS`),10),'%m/%d/%Y') ELSE DATE_FORMAT(`orddate`,'%m/%d/%Y') end
