Re: Beastmode for multiple row comparisons to one source row?
If those are your only records in your dataset you can utilize a Magic ETL to add a constant to your dataset (Join Column, value 1), then filter your data for just 'Current Week'. Take that filter and join it back to your original dataset with the constant and join both on the constant. This will join each row to the current week record for you to compare the two values together.
Re: Add beast modes already created to a dataset
@MDavis Yes, if you check the "Save as calculation on dataset" box in Beast Mode Editor then it makes the calculation available in all cards using that dataset.
Re: How do I filter duplicative entries when two date fields are involved? (entry & modified dates)
You could use a Magic ETL 2.0 dataflow and group your data on the start_date, model and inventory_units and select the MAX ob_modified_date then do an inner join from your original input dataset and the output of the group by based on the start_date, model, inventory_units and ob_modified_date.
Re: How can I create personal cards?
@har_d_har1 my first instinct here is that PDP is your best solution. It doesn't have to be hard-coded values - you can assign based on user attributes, or create custom rules. Is there something in your dataset that identifies which ticket belongs to which user? You could use that in your PDP. For example, if you have the user's email in the dataset, then you'd set up a PDP rule on that column and choose the filter by trused attribute where trusted attribute is email.

Re: YOY Progress Bars
Hi @damen
I'd recommend utilizing your own date dimension table to compare the same days per year. I've done a writeup on how to do this previously here: https://dojo.domo.com/main/discussion/53481/a-more-flexible-way-to-do-period-over-period-comparisons#latest
Re: How can I convert an Excel date code into a normal M/D/Y formatted date?
Hi John @DashboardDude ,
Thank you so much! That did the trick. Plus your tutorial was very easy to follow.
I've already bookmarked your web page for the next time I need help.
Thanks,

Re: Working with Multiple Date Fields
@gilbec01 You could append the leads created and demos scheduled in a dataflow and rename their respective date fields to be called "Date". In this scenario then you can create a constant column to each sub-table called "Activity Type" with a value of "Create" or "Schedule Demo" before appending to differentiate between activities. To calculate conversion rate using the new dataset, you can base your card off of the "Date" column and write a beast mode like the one below:
sum(case when `Activity Type` = 'Schedule Demo' then 1 else 0 end) / sum(case when `Activity Type` = 'Create' then 1 else 0 end)
Re: Combining 2 datasets together
@zuchu I suggest joining your datasets by Quote # rather than appending so that the corresponding quote and sale are on the same row. Then you can create a simple formula like the one below to check whether that quote generated a sale:
case when `Sales.Quote#` is null then 'No' else 'Yes' end
