Re: View as user or view as role
Great idea. This will make content creator's life so much easier when they know what their user would see.
Re: View as user or view as role
I'm working through PDP automation as a new customer and this is exactly what I struggle with. Since I can't impersonate other users as Admin, it's extremely difficult to verify and audit that PDP is working as expected. This would be HUGE and very much needed.
Re: Brick with Ten Datasets Question
There are two ways to interact with the Domo APIs, the first being a more object-oriented approach and the latter being url based approach.
This documentation lists out the different types of aggregation you can use in your query request:
It's not much but should highlight the possibilities for aggregation.
Re: Word Count
If you're considering a word as a number of characters separated by a space you can do something like this with a formula tile:
LENGTH(`field`) - LENGTH(REPLACE(`field`, ' ', '')) + 1
This will count the number of spaces in your field
Re: Word Count
It will count them as separate words.
You could utilize a regexp_replace to condense all multi-spaces to a single space.
LENGTH(`field`) - LENGTH(REPLACE(REGEX_REPLACE(`field`, ' +', ' '), ' ', '')) + 1

Re: Group By Filter for Dashboards
@NateBI Yes, you can use the "Choose Date" drop down on the top right corner of the dashboard to change the date range and groupings. As long as your cards are grouped by a date dimension and the "Hide Date Range" box is unchecked in analyzer, the "Graph by" setting will apply to those cards.
Re: Group By Filter for Dashboards
@NateBI You would likely need to set up a variable control for this and replace the date dimension each card with this beast mode:
case when `Date Grouping (Var)` = 'Week' then concat(date_format(`Date`,'%m/%d/%y')) when `Date Grouping (Var)` = 'Month' then concat(date_format(`Date`,'%M %Y')) … end
Re: Grouping after Split Function
Can you show what you would want the end result to look like? Also, is this for a table card? Or some other visualization?
Re: Grouping after Split Function
To get the "System" group, create beast mode that uses the SPLIT_PART function, like this:
TRIM(SPLIT_PART(fieldname,'|',1))
You can then use this field as your grouping and aggregation.
