Re: Need Tips for Optimizing Data Visualization in Domo
@rohan02, I always enjoyed this resource that Domo put out about choosing different chart types:
Re: How can I embed a website into my DOMO Dashboard? Not a hiperlink to open a new tab.
You could use a DDX brick and create an iframe to embed your website directly into the dashboard:

Re: Beast Mode Filter
@carthur On your second formula, you are getting an error because the logic needs to be within a case statement. I'd suggest doing this instead:
case
when YEAR(`ORDER_DATE`) = YEAR(DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),interval 1 year))
and ORDER_DATE <= DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),interval 1 year)
then 'Include'
else 'Exclude'
end
Re: Beast Mode Filter
Your STR_TO_DATE format is not quite correct.
The first one isn't including the dashes that you've concatenated in there. The second is including commans which aren't included.
Try something like this:
CASE WHEN `ORDER_DATE` >= STR_TO_DATE(CONCAT(YEAR(CURRENT_DATE()-1), '-01-01'), '%Y-%m-%d') AND `ORDER_DATE` <= STR_TO_DATE(CONCAT(YEAR(CURRENT_DATE())-1, '-', MONTH(CURRENT_DATE()), '-', DAY(CURRENT_DATE())), '%Y-%m-%d') THEN 'YES' ELSE 'NO' END

It was great to help so many people last month! Now, I will go back to "sleep" and let some others get the top spot for the month… as long as they aren't named @GrantSmith 😀
Re: Snap to Grid functionality in Magic ETL
Technically, there is a grid-snap system in Magic ETL. Through some testing, my coworkers discovered that it seems to be a 3px by 3px grid.
We have come up with a simple command line script that overlays a grid for aligning tiles to this grid:
let canvasNode = document.querySelector(".df-inner-canvas");canvasNode.setAttribute("style",canvasNode.getAttribute("style")+"background-image: repeating-linear-gradient(0deg, #ccc 0 1px, transparent 1px 100%), repeating-linear-gradient(270deg, #ccc 0 1px, transparent 1px 100%); background-size: 108px 60px;");
console.log("%cGrid Applied!", "color: lime; font-weight: bold;")
While in the ETL window, use CTRL + SHIFT + i to open the console, or right click and select "Inspect." Navigate to the console and copy the above code into the command line and hit ENTER. After a moment, a grid should appear on the background of the ETL window. You can change the size of the grid by adjusting the "background-size" attribute.
Re: Sum if using Case When
Try this:
SUM(CASE WHEN `Data` in ('Goal','Pipeline','in P&L') THEN `Total` ELSE 0 END)
This should get the total you want.
Re: Sum if using Case When
Do you want to sum them separately and then add them together? Or do you want them as 3 separate calculations? If you want them as 3 separate calculations, then you would create 3 different beast modes, one for each.
It may be easiest if you explain what it is you are trying to achieve. What are you trying to display?
