Re: Getting x axis sorted correctly
I'd recommend calcluating the first date of the week and use that for your sorting. If you have a Date field you can do something like this:
`Date` - INTERVAL (DAYOFWEEK(`Date`)-1) DAY
This will return the Sunday of the week.
Re: Made and worked on a copy of an ETL; want to delete original
You can delete them no problem, this will just cause the Output Dataset of this ETL not the be updated anymore, so you might want to be sure nothing you still use is connected to it, including:
- Data Linage: If this is powering other ETLs or Views, make sure you switch it to the new output from your modified version.
- Cards: If there are cards still powered by it, make sure you switch them to be powered by the new one.
But in general deleting an ETL will have no other impact than the fact that the output datasets will no longer be updated. If you want to clean all up, you might want to delete those ones as well, mostly to avoid confusion if there are other users that might be building cards for example.
Re: Average Date Calculation
One possibility is to convert your date to an integer using the UNIX_TIMESTAMP function and then use the AVG function and then convert that value back to a date using the FROM_UNIXTIME function. It would look like this:
FROM_UNIXTIME(AVG(UNIX_TIMESTAMP(datefield)))
You might need to add a round function in there as well in case the average returns a decimal number, which the FROM_UNIXTIME function would have a problem with.
Re: How to create a dataset last updated card at top of dash?
@pauljames You could use the Domostats Datasets dataset and create a card directly from that if your dashboard uses one dataset or if you have multiple you can put it in a flow to determine which date you wanted to use. In the flow just filter for the dataset ID of the dataset you want to get the latest date from (if you are using a data pipeline I recommend using the first dataset in the process like the connector or Workbench input). Once you determine which dataset you are going to get the data for you can use the column "Last_Run_Date".

Re: Displaying up and down periods over time in a chart
@jimsteph I'd recommend using a Heat Map card:
You'll have bucket your data into 15-minute intervals and use diverging colors to show red vs green.
Re: Email connector not updating rows from excel file.
It could actually be a temporary issue and it might work in a few hours. Could also be worth opening up a support ticket with Domo and see if they can provide more detail as why it is failing.
Re: Card switching using a filter/control in a dashboard
I'm not sure why this doesn't have more votes. This would add so much functionality! Maybe it could be implemented with something like the drill-path. There could a page-level control that let you switch all the cards at once to a different point on the drill path.
Re: Removing yesterday data from ETL
You can use a filter tile with a formula and the CURRENT_DATE() function:
`Date` < CURRENT_DATE() - 1
Re: Removing yesterday data from ETL
You'll use a FILTER tile applying that to the date field you want to filter out. Another option is to use a FORMULA tile to create a column that will flag if the date field is yesterday or not CASE WHEN column = TODAY() - 1 THEN 'Yesterday' ELSE 'Not Yesterday' END(or something along that line) and filter at the card/dashboard level, so that way your data will always be complete and you're only narrowing down at the display level.
Re: Undo button in Magic ETL
Yep, being half way through a lot of changes, but not wanting to save to Live, with testing via preview, but then you make a mistake of deleting tiles for some reason and…. face plant! Where is the Undo??
