Re: 30 Day Interval
If you feel that your beast mode is correct, the first thing I would check would be your date range filter settings. Check to see which field is being used in the date range as this can often skew results if it is basing it off a date field that you weren't expecting it to.
Re: CSV SFTP Push Connector Error
You'll need to log a ticket with Domo Support as they control the code to this connector and would be able to give you a bit better support as they would have access to their internal logs.
Re: Possible to Connect Domo Card within Excel?
If your Excel file is stored in OneDrive or your company's Office365/SharePoint system, you can use the OneDrive connector or the SharePoint Online connector to have it directly connected to a card.
Re: SQL Query against dataset
@Byboth Yes, Domo supports SQL dataflows in MySQL and Redshift:
That said, MagicETL runs much more efficiently than SQL dataflow because it can execute steps simultaneously whereas SQL transforms must be run sequentially. As someone who was also more comfortable with SQL I've found that switching to MagicETL has been well worth it because it reduces the amount of time between runs, so I don't have to spend so much time waiting to validate my dataflow changes.
Re: Fix HTTP 413 Errors when logging into multiple instances
@BenSchein I'm glad you are in the same boat and can empathize with the annoyance of this issue. Hopefully, your influence will help this idea be implemented. I have started using both Chrome and Edge as a way to avoid running into the issues, but it would be nice to just use my preferred browser without worrying about running into the error.
Hope you voted the idea up! 😀
Re: Date Formatting in Tables/Charts
Hi @SamanthaC, it depends on the card you're using. Two things might control how the dates are displayed.
- If you're using that date field to graph by it, then check the Graph By option and make sure you have it at the granularity you want.
- If this is just a column on a table or similar, you can control how to format it, from the menu on the field, selecting Format and then Date and how to present it.
With the last one you can show only a part of the date, like only the month or the like.
Hope this helps.
Re: Can someone tell me where I am going wrong please?
I think you could make this easier by using the DATE_FORMAT() function along with DATE_SUB().
CURRENT MONTH
DATE_FORMAT(NOW(),'%M %Y')
Would return February 2024
PREV MONTH
DATE_FORMAT(DATE_SUB(NOW(), interval 1 month),'%M %Y')
Would return January 2024
CUR MONTH PREV YEAR
DATE_FORMAT(DATE_SUB(NOW(), interval 1 year),'%M %Y')
Would return January 2023
