Re: start of the week in the date filters
@Elnaz as far as I am aware you can not change the default calendar to a Monday - Sunday week.
You can however contact domo support and request that they upload a fiscal calendar which can be customised to your needs including a Monday - Sunday week.
This will then enable this option when creating cards.
Re: Group By issue
Can you share a screenshot of your Group By tile configuration? The ID should be the column to identify the grouping (1), whatever name you want in (2) and the column containing the values with the SUM aggregation in (3). There should also be no need to do any NULL handling for the values to be aggregated.
Re: Forcasting Data by Zip for a 24 month period
Can you show us any kind of mock up of what you are doing currently with your spreadsheet?
There are quite a few forecasting videos and Domo examples on the web. Have you reviewed any of them?
I would first look to the forecasting tile in the Data Science are of the Magic ETL…link….
There are also videos posted.
Based on your description, it sounds like you have a forecasting formula to create a "future" data sample. If your formula generates data for the expectations coming, you could create an ETL that pulls the existing data up to current date, and appends the data with the sample data to show the results from your forecasting formula.
Re: Beast mode CASE calculation for number ranges that have null values in column.
@art_in_sky AVG works based on the number of non null entries, so if you null out your zeros that will solve for it. A beast mode like:
CASE WHEN `Column` = 0 THEN NULL ELSE `Column` END
Which then you'll select to aggregate using AVG should do the trick or removing the 0s from your AVG calculation (or you can aggregate at the Beast Mode level should you want)
Re: Trying to create vertical bar chart that shows Count of Jobs based on Hours of each Job?
This sounds like a good option to use a Histogram (if you don't need that much granular control over the partitions). If you need custom partitions, I'd strongly advise doing a View of your dataset that already aggregates the total time at the DIV_OrderNum level and then graph based on this with a simple ETL to bucket them. If you can't or really don't want to for some reason, I'd use FIXED instead of OVER, something like:
CASE WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'a)0-50' WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'b)50-100' WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'c)100-150' WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'd)150-200' WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'e)200-250' WHEN SUM(SUM(`Total_Hours_Worked`) FIXED(BY `DIV_Order_Num`)) <50 THEN 'f)250-300' ELSE 'g)>300' END
Then make sure your card is set to sorted by this new field only and that the what will show is a
COUNT(DISTINCT `DIV_Order_Num`)
Again I'd preferred to go with a GroupBy view of the table that aggregates things at the DIV_Order_Num instead, to make calculations simpler for anyone that might take a look at this later.
Re: Can I see the basic dataset length between different steps of an etl flow?
Currently this isn't an option directly within Magic ETL but would be a much welcomed addition. I'd recommend adding an idea to the Idea Exchange for this.
You could output your dataset before and after the pivot to new datasets and compare the difference in a more manual way.
Re: Compare values in a series against overall average
You should be able to achieve this using FIXED functions in the Beast Mode. Here is the documentation for them:
You'd want to use the FILTER option of the FIXED function to make sure your monthly NPS isn't affected by the fields you specify.

Re: Domopalooza Live Stream
I've heard that this year there is no livestream but that a link will be sent out for viewing when the event finishes.
Re: how to utilize multiple date columns that has values for showing the trend
@art_in_sky I'd suggest using the Unpivot Tile in MagicETL to restructure your data into 3 columns: Chapter, Date/Month, and value. Then you can create a card with Date/Month as your dimension, Value as your measure, and Value as your metric.
