Re: Adding source column in appended datasets using Magic ETL
@DomoATX I would recommend adding an "Add Constants" tile to all 8 branches of the dataflow before they all merge into the "Append Rows" tile. Be sure that the column name in first step is the same for every tile. The only difference between the the tiles should be the Source Name in the third step.
Re: Unpivot
Hello @verytiredgirl,
You can do it in several steps. Here is the example data:
First, make Dynamic unpivot:
Split the unpivoted column into two columns: one for dates and one for types:
Change the format of the 'Date' column into Date with the Alter Columns tile:
And finally, pivot the 'Type' column:
Here is the result:
I hope this answers your question ;)
Re: "Warning: Not all the data is shown."
Typically this message will show up in table cards where you are trying to display every row in a dataset. Domo can sum up millions of rows in a bar graph without that message displaying. Do you have something in your series or sorting that is not allowing the graph to aggregate? If there are still a high number of rows after aggregating then this message may appear. Try just having something in the x and y values and make sure the x isn't something that highly unique like a part number.
Re: Alleviate the jumping cursor causing BeastModes and SQL queries to be overwritten
I randomly run into this issue as well. Glad you are bringing attention to it.
Re: Make readily accessible a "Has Input" filter for Dataflows in the DataCenter
No, I have not. But I contend that this should be standard functionality at the DataFlow filter level regardless.
Re: Sorting Day of Week on the X-Axis
You’d need to create another beast mode with a case statement to return a numerical value for the day and order you want
CASE WHEN DAYNAME(`date`) = 'Sunday' then 8 ELSE DAYOFWEEK(`date`) end
DAYOFWEEK returns 1-7 for Sunday-Saturday the case statement just shifts Sunday to 8 so it’s last
Put this beast mode in your sorting section on your card to then order your days
Having both horizontal and verticle marker on a Line Chart
Hi guys,
As in the title, is there any way to add two reference lines, one verticle and one horizontal in a DOMO line chart? The solution can be DDX or the default line chart.
From that, is there any way to add the third horizontal… if there are ways…
Thanks,
Long
Re: Can I know why the data is not grouping into single column in the pivot table?
Do you have anything in the sorting section in Analyzer? That will keep like items from being grouped together.
Re: Can I know why the data is not grouping into single column in the pivot table?
Hello @scpradhan,
Consider using the SQUASH_WHITESPACE() function in the ETL process to address potential discrepancies like "Backpacks/Bags" vs "Backpacks/Bags " with space at the end.
