You said you want 6 lines in the output. If you have IRs A, B, C and ISOs 1, 2, 3, what would a successful join look like to you?

Options A and B make more sense to me and would use an append. Option C would use a join, but we need more information about how you're trying to join the two to know which combination of IR and ISO should go on each row. I arbitrarily chose two combinations to get to 6 rows (A3B2C1|A1B2C3), but I believe there are 6 possible combinations for a total of 18 rows (A1B2C3|A1B3C2|A2B1C3|A2B3C1|A3B1C2|A3B2C1)

I would love to be able to Save a Drill path to a Dataset (and give it a decent, descriptive name) so that when I go to create a drill path for a report, I could choose from an existing drill path.

This would be very useful and huge timesaver because we often want most cards on a dashboard to have the same drill path. This would also help with maintenance, since we could be sure to update the single drillpath card, and not have to change all drill paths on all cards.

You can do this with period over period charts without the need for a specialized beast mode

Text as values would make sense if you are doing a count of the text values. Here is an example:

I'd use the AddDate() function like so:
ADDDATE('2024-12-04', INTERVAL 1 MONTH)
If you intend to also jump to the next year - i.e. from December 2024 to January 2025 - that will be an extra step.

You can feed it into a regular expression in a formula tile to convert () to a negative number with something like this:
REGEXP_REPLACE(`field`, '\(\d+\)', '-$1')
Re: Drill Path error
A couple things to note from the knowledgebase article on drill paths that may be root cause of the issue:
- Calculations you create using Beast Mode are inherited when you drill from one view to another using the same DataSet. However, calculations are not inherited when you drill to a different DataSet.
- You cannot create Beast Mode calculations on any card in a Drill Path except the top-level card. Calculations created on any other cards in a drill path will disappear after they are saved.
