Re: Postgres SSH Connector - Data Types not importing as expected
Often when a field doesn't come in as the type I expected, I use Magic ETL to cast it to the appropriate type and then use the output dataset for my cards. There are a couple ways to do this in Magic ETL, on the input dataset, you can click on Configuration and then on Data Handling and then change the field to the type you want. You can also the Alter Columns tile or the Formula tile and then use the CAST function in the formula editor.
Hope this helps.
Re: Adding a new column of data to a existing card
Hi @Sheeraz89
You'll need to join your two datasets together with a Magic ETL dataflow using the join tile based on the course ID (alternatively you can use a DataSet View and join the two tables together). This will combine the two datasets together and allow you to pull in the course name. Once you have that new dataset output from the dataflow you will have to change the dataset on the card to be your new dataset so it has access to the course information.
Re: Adding a new column of data to a existing card
Only if you can find a way to link those two tables which I believe you don't have right now. There are two ways to do it
- Create a new table with all the courses and their IDs. And then link this table to your certificate table
- (This will only work if the Course ID is derivative from the Course Name) Create a new column for the certificate table by writing down a fuggy logic around the Course Name to generate the Course ID

Re: table for countries with codes and continent
You can check out the Domo Dimension Connector. It has a few country files that you could check out and see if they would work for what you need.

Re: table for countries with codes and continent
@NathanDorsch I would recommend checking out the Domo Dimensions Connector. There are some geographic datasets that may have the information you're looking for.

Re: Problem with column sorting
Not 100% sure on how to fix the sorting when you don't have the column, but if you just don't want the column to show on the card, you can just hide it using Hide Columns under General chart properties.
Re: Is it possible to achieve last 30, 60, 90 days from the current date
Because of the way case when statements work in a waterfall manner, you won't be able to achieve exactly what you want. It will evaluate the first part and then it will be impossible for anything that fits the first part to go into the other categories. The are ways to do what you want but they get kind of complicated. I would suggest either using a multi select quick filter for your 30/60/90 beast mode and you can select multiple ranges to give you the equivalent of what you need, or use your date range beast mode as a quick filter where users can either use a slide or enter a less than or equal to value.
Re: Independent filtering within a dashboard, using the same column
@bradw you have to adjust the interaction on each selector independently to enable interaction filters to ONLY apply to selected cards. clicking on CHANGE will open the list of all the cards in your dashboard, from there you can select the specific card.
You want selector1 to only interact with Card1 .... and Selector2 to only interact with Card2
It is very tricky as you have to turn off the Date filtering Global settings
Try also creating 2 beastmodes for the same date DATE() but name them differently. also in the cards to filter make sure the date column they use is the beastmode for each.
you should be able to get this:
Re: Independent filtering within a dashboard, using the same column
Hi @bradw
Due to how filters function within Domo you can't have a single filter column and multiple values applying to different cards. You could copy the date value into a different column and then have the other cards use the new column instead of the first column so they're separate values to filter on. Because you're using dates you'll want to also disable the global date filter on the page otherwise both will be filtered based on the same date.
Re: UK maps - long/lat
@louiswatson I would recommend a couple things to fix this:
- Under the General Chart Properties, check the box next to "Auto Zoom to Data". If all your points are within the UK, then it should frame your map to a smaller area
- Use the same value for all the points so they are the same size. You can do this by creating a beast mode with the formula AVG(1) and dragging it into the Value spot. If you need the dots to be different sizes, check the "Use Log Scale" box under the Scale chart properties instead.
