Re: Reduce ETL Processing Time
@jmmc I agree that ETL v2 is probably your best bet. Joins are generally very processing-intensive, so it's not surprising that a dataflow that joins 17 datasets would take a while to run. I'm not sure if this applies to your situation, but you could also see if there are ways to filter the datasets as much as possible before joining them together so that there are fewer rows to scan in each join.
Re: Email connector importing CSV file but keep having the error 'specified file type'
Hi @robdmitchell did you specify CSV as the file type in your Domo Connector?
Re: Count and filter multiple row values in one column with same unique ID in another column
I think that you would need to restructure your data. If you had something like this:
Then you could create some filter cards for each of the ServiceNames. If you wanted only entities with both service A and C, then you would filter for `ServiceName A` = 'x' and `ServiceName C` = 'x'
Re: Freeze Header in Pivot Table (chart types)
There are two modes of scrolling on a Domo dashboard. If the height of the card on your dashboard is taller than your monitor space, you can scroll up and down on the dashboard without scrolling on the table itself. It's difficult to explain,
By default a pivot table should freeze the header row for you when scrolling in Domo.
Re: Freeze Header in Pivot Table (chart types)
@RajNadar There's no option to freeze the header on a pivot table, but it should be frozen by default with no need to do anything. I've gone through and looked at some of my pivot tables and all the headers are frozen automatically without having to do anything. It sounds like it's the same for @MarkSnodgrass.
Re: Automatically update the column value by current month and year in Magic ETL
Hi @nica_tc you would not be able to use the card itself as a dataset input. You should be able to use the dataset powering the card as an input to another dataflow.
Re: Limit on ranking tiles
Hi @dacorson I don't know of a specific limit on rank and window tiles. Could you please share a screenshot of the error you are seeing?
Re: Any chance I can add in a percent change over various fields in a pivot table via window funciton?
@MattLynn You can also do this through and ETL if you don't care about filtering/drilling. You can just split your dataset and create a separate 'table' for each metric, and do the 2021 and 2022 values, and % Change for each one, and then append them all and create your card off the new dataset.
Re: Any chance I can add in a percent change over various fields in a pivot table via window funciton?
@MattLynn I think that you will be best served by splitting this table into multiple tables. One for case load by source, one for Resolution method, and one for Customer Experience.
I'm not sure how your data is structured, but I took a stab at the first table (case load by source). The part that I stumbled on here was that your summary value is the total case volume while the rest of the values are displayed as a percent of that total. I chose to include both on my table:
Here are some of the beastmodes that I wrote, but these may not work for your dataset. It might be easier if you shared a bit of the data behind this request so that someone can try to provide a more concrete solution.
2021 Qty
SUM(CASE WHEN `Year`=2021 THEN `Quantity` ELSE 0 END)
Qty % Change
(SUM(CASE WHEN `Year`=2022 then `Quantity` ELSE 0 END) - SUM(CASE WHEN `Year`=2021 THEN `Quantity` ELSE 0 END)) / SUM(CASE WHEN `Year`=2021 THEN `Quantity` ELSE 0 END)
2021 %
sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` END) / sum(sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` END)) over ()
% Change
((100*sum(case when `Year`=2022 then `Quantity` else 0 END) / sum(sum(case when `Year`=2022 then `Quantity` else 0 END)) over () ) - (100*sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` else 0 END) / sum(sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` else 0 END)) over ()) ) / (100*sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` else 0 END) / sum(sum(case when `Year`=2021 then `Quantity` else 0 END)) over ())
I'm not sure how helpful this will be, as I probably do not have the same schema as your dataset, but I hope this helps.
Re: How to create a card that includes top 3 rows (based on top 3 values)?
Hi @svetlana
You could always use a Pie or Donut Chart. Just in the General Chart Properties enter 3 as the maximum slices:
You can even get more details on the "Other" category by just moving your mouse over that pie piece:
