Re: Combining data into one pie chart
@louiswatson you could have significantly simplified your ETL by using a FORMULA tile with a CASE statement.
The reason why this approach is cleaner is the CASE statement allows you to use an ELSE clause. When you split out your data using FILTER tiles as you have, if you miss a new filter value you exclude it from your output. Which is usually an accident.
Also, by using a CASE statement the logic for all your new labels is gathered into one place instead of spread across several tiles.
Re: If possible, how can I call a Stored Procedure or Function?
@Jose_Rojas yes, you would need to work with your AE to get the Jupyter Notebook addon. If it was me, i would be VERY explicit and adamant that you do NOT need the Data Science Package.
IMHO with the improvements in the Jupyter Data Science Notebook there is no reason to use the Scripting tiles.
But also i think you're building a couple of unnecessary hops in your pipeline.
Instead of using Domo connectors to pull data from your REST API, just do it in Python (unless it's super huge data).
instead of using writeback connector to push the data to your data lake. just use the Rest API in Python... unless you REALLY like the extra hops.
instead of running the stored Procedure in Snowflake ... yup you guessed it :D run it in Python.
Then use the dataset in Domo.
Re: Brand Kit Color Select
if this is a bug, probably should open a support ticket. if it's a product feedback, make sure to put it under the IDEAS exchange board. if you leave it here i am concerned you won't get a response.
Re: Instagram Business Connector - Server Error
@shielmunroe - If you have not already done so, you should send this over to Domo Support with the dataset id of the dataset that is failing.
Re: Resizing text box glitch
@NateBI Sounds like a bug that will need a Domo Support ticket.
Re: Calendar Creation
Hi @WorldWarHulk are you trying to do this in a card or a dataset? If it's for a card, then I recommend starting with the calendar dataset in from the Domo Dimensions Connector (https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042931454-Domo-Dimensions-Connector), then putting the data into a pivot table with week number on the rows and day of week in the columns.
Re: Odd behaviour with FISCAL Calendar
@Jones01 Do you know if your fiscal calendar is one of Domo's standard options or if you have a custom fiscal calendar? If it's a custom calendar, then it looks like your month abbreviations may be mis-aligned. Domo Support should be able to correct this.
Re: Add formula syntax error
@AdamC Welcome to Domo and SQL! So your statement will look like this:
case when `Column A` IN('ONEY','CMDU') then 45 else 30 end
or
case when `Column A` = 'ONEY' or `Column A` = 'CMDU' then 45 else 30 end
Your CASE WHEN is basically your IF. I'm guessing one problem you were running into is that if the data in your column is a string (basically text, though that's not always true) then you need to put single quotes around the value.
Re: Combining data into one pie chart
@louiswatson You can use the Add Constants tile in ETL. You'll add one tile per branch of your ETL and name the column the same for each one (Stage), and then for each constant, put the name of the stage that corresponds to the filters.
Additionally, depending on your comfort level with CASE WHEN statements and the complexity of your filters and other tiles, you could do this without having to create different branches using a formula tile with a long case when formula.
Re: Combining data into one pie chart
@louiswatson are your stages mutually exclusive? if so, I think your next step will be a group by tile for each stage (group by stage and then count panels?) and then an append which will stack your 5 categories together.
So i'd think your end dataset goal is:
which you'd then build your pie chart off... is this what you're aiming for?
