Pivot Table
Is there a way to do conditional formating based on another column directly in pivot table?
Example: color in green if value in column A > then in column B
Thanks
Re: Table of contents on dashboard
Agreed! This would be huge for us! Especially the ability to link to specific sections/page breaks/header elements!!
Re: Creating anchor tag for cards
Hi @Rohit ,
May be you can do this on HTML instead of Domo. Add an anchor tag on the HTML element where you are adding your Domo everywhere iFrame for card2, that would also help.
Thanks

Re: Beginner - managing a wide table, creating sum of..
@bdx I don't believe there is a way to reference the column name in your calculation, though it should be a fairly straightforward (albeit tedious) solution. Since you want to calculate across values in the same row, you can set up either a formula tile or beast mode like this for each new column:
`OPP1` + `OPP2` + `OPP3` + ... + `OPP37`
Re: Beginner - managing a wide table, creating sum of..
@bdx If you want to use the Group By and not need to type out each item and modify your beast mode each time a question is added, you can use the Unpivot tile in ETL. This can change your data to be:
question 1 OPP1
question 1 EXP1
question 1 ACH1
question 2 OPP2
etc.
Or however you want the unpivot to happen. This can then let you use Group By and you can use beast modes to calculate totals.

Re: What is the syntax to add a "if contains the following" in my logic
It would be best to use the LEFT and SUBSTRING functions to look for those characters since they are always in the same spot. I would write the statement like this:
CASE WHEN LEFT(`shipmenttariffid`,2) = 'AP' AND SUBSTRING(`shipmentariffid`,5,2) = 'MA' THEN `shipmenttariffid` ELSE '#' END
In my case statement, I am looking for AP in the characters 1 and 2 and MA in characters 5 and 6. If I find them, then use the tariff id, otherwise, replace with the #.
Re: How to make my BeastMode dynamic
My bad. I missed that you are looking at 2 different dates to determine the quarter. It will involve a case statement, it can still be dynamic. This should work for you:
CASE
/*check to see if the end date is in the previous quarter of the same year */
WHEN QUARTER(`TC: Created Date`) - QUARTER(`TC: End Date`) = 1 AND YEAR(`TC: Created Date`) = YEAR(`TC: End Date`)
THEN CONCAT('Q',QUARTER(`TC: Created Date`),' ',YEAR(`TC: Created Date`))
/* 1st quater to 4th quarter check */
WHEN QUARTER(`TC: Created Date`) - QUARTER(`TC: End Date`) = -3 AND YEAR(`TC: Created Date`)-1 = YEAR(`TC: End Date`)
THEN CONCAT('Q',QUARTER(`TC: Created Date`),' ',YEAR(`TC: Created Date`))
ELSE 0
END
The first when handles when the created date is in quarters 2, 3, and 4. The 2nd when statement handles when the created date is in 1st quarter and the end date will be in the 4th quarter of the previous year.
If it doesn't match on either of those then it returns 0.
Re: How can I create personal cards?
@har_d_har1 my first instinct here is that PDP is your best solution. It doesn't have to be hard-coded values - you can assign based on user attributes, or create custom rules. Is there something in your dataset that identifies which ticket belongs to which user? You could use that in your PDP. For example, if you have the user's email in the dataset, then you'd set up a PDP rule on that column and choose the filter by trused attribute where trusted attribute is email.

Re: New Beast Mode Format - Save as calculation on dataset
@a10hall - you should post this as an idea on the "Ideas Exchange" found here -> Ideas Exchange — Dojo Community (domo.com)
Re: How to make my BeastMode dynamic
@WorldWarHulk have you thought about creating a separate dataset with your date logic and then joining that back to the main table in a view. That is usually how I might approach it. I can provide an example if helpful.
