Re: Simple Mathematical Equations in Domo
You can do this in either a Beast Mode in a card or a Formula Tile in a Magic ETL.
`Column` * 3.1415926535
What does you example beast mode look like?
Re: More than one identical variable toggle on the same dashboard.
Yes, agreed. 100%. This would make all of our dashboards way more functional and increase ease-of-use. Either a floating variable control, or the option to create multiple controls for the same variable.
Re: Check if site exists in another dataset, then remove from list if exists - ETL
Hi @louiswatson
You can do a left join from your existing dataset to your dataset 3 based on the Database Number. If the right table's Database Number is NULL then it doesn't exist in the left table. You can do a left join (or right join) and then filter on a NULL value.
Re: drop down selector chart
This likely means that the filter you are applying is filtering out the name you are searching for in the data. Have you also checked the other filters applied to the card? One of them may be removing the data you are searching for.
Re: FIXED functions are difficult to understand and should be rolled into WINDOW functions
FILTER ALLOW/DENY is the most useful piece of FIXED for me. What would juice up its usefulness to the next level is an ability to use static filters in the function.
For example -
SUM(SUM(`totalSales`) FIXED (FILTER `Client`='ABC Company'))
Rather than simply allowing or denying the field filters to affect the calculation, you could dictate the filter state directly in the function. This would replicate what Microsoft/Power BI did with CALCULATE(SUM(`totalSales`),FILTER(`Client`="ABC Company")).
In fact - I'm going to post this as a new feature suggestion I think 😄

Remove a card versus Delete a Card
Hi,
I created a card that is used on several pages/dashboards. However it happens quite often that some people want to remove the card from their dashboard and they click on "Delete Card" instead of "Remove" from the menu:

By using "Delete Card" it will delete the card on all the pages/dashboards! Which is problematic…
I think it's a bad UI design from Domo: deleting a card should only be possible from the card's details page and not from the dashboard page.
Is there a way to avoid this behavior? The card is deleted by people with Admin permissions (so I didn't give special permissions to these people).
Thanks
How come I cant access Domo through the API?
It was working fine before, I get authorized but now my python script is giving me a 403 status ("Forbidden" error) when trying to retrieve a dataset out of Domo. Is there a rate limit I'm hitting? Quite confused. Any assistance is welcome.
Re: Concat summary numbers
Agree with what @trafalger suggested, without any other character CONCAT will likely put the two numbers together, so 10 and 20 would be displayed as 1020. Adding the "template" of the string you want to display to the formula should work, something along the lines of:
CONCAT('Sites = ',COUNT(Panels),', Panels = ',SUM(Panels))
Re: Concat summary numbers
I'd try putting a space between the two just incase, like ' '.
But your logic is sound, that should have worked.
