STR_TO_DATE

Hi everyone,

I am facing a problem of transforming Text to Date type.

I have a column called Date. The format looks like this:

I used the following formula to transfer it to Date formate"

STR_TO_DATE('Date','%d-%b-%y')

but the following error message popped up.

Could you please tell me what's wrong with my formula?

@RayRay_H It looks like there may be a space after the date in the error message. Try replacing the spaces with an empty string before using the STR_TO_DATE function

STR_TO_DATE(REPLACE(`Date`,' ',''),'%d-%b-%y')

BTW, I am doing this in ETL not in Beastmode.

My problem was solved by using Alter Column tile - Custom Date feature. I am still wondering why the formula doesn't work though .
