Re: Alerts Are Slow and Delayed in Scheduled Reports
- Audit dependencies: We traced the alert triggers back to the source datasets and dataflows to check for refresh lag. In some cases, the alerts were firing before the data was fully refreshed.
- Re-sequencing scheduling: We adjusted the schedule of dataflows and alerts to ensure alerts only triggered after all dependent data was fully updated.
- Dataflow optimization: We optimized dataflows by reducing joins, filtering earlier, or breaking large flows into smaller ones.
Re: Multi Levels Sankey
Yes, it's possible, and quite fun!
The hardest part I found is making sure each dollar has a source and destination. It sounds easy in theory, but can get muddled in practice.
Each line needs a "From" and a "To", as well as the Value. This format then powers the Sankey visual.

@lawiti , Hi! make sure you have this selected to see.
Re: Domo Office Add-In: Excel rows not updating in Domo
I don't have experience with the Office Add-in. I understand it needs defined Excel tables, not just raw data ranges. If Domo has headers and says it completed the upload, but there's no rows….that sounds like the data needs to be formatted as a table.
In Excel:
Select the entire dataset including headers. Go to the insert tab and click Table. Click the checkbox that says my table has headers. This creates a table object.
In Domo Add-in:
Select your dataset. Click replace data. Choose the new Excel table, then upload.
Re: Can you help me understand why SQL Transform takes so long to run and how I can make it faster?
I agree with all of @ggenovese's recommendations for optimizing the SQL. If you're still not satisfied with the performance after implementing those suggestions, you could also consider replicating this in Magic ETL (still following the previous guidance). I've seen some significant performance improvements since migrating SQL dataflows to Magic ETL, most notably since Magic can process multiple steps concurrently, while the SQL transforms can only be run sequentially.
Re: Sending email from Form Submission
I'd suggest checking out the getting started with Workflows training.
That said, all you need to do is create a workflow and customize the start form to be whatever form you want the user to fill out. Then your workflow will have one step - sendEmail. You will use your variables to craft the email recipients, subject line and body.
Re: Sending email from Form Submission
I'd suggest you watch the past few Community Forum AI sessions. They are one hour long, each. These are useful examples of working with workflows and they have given direct examples of using Send To Person email.
On the black ribbon bar at the top of your Community Forum screen, there's a label "Community Forums". Highlight it and you will see sub links to past recordings.

Re: App Studio Tabs
You can save buttons and such within individual tabs in App Studio. There must be something else causing it not to save.
- Sometimes, the components don't properly "nest" inside the tab. Visually it might look correct, but technically they are not inside the tab container's hierarchy. Try re-placing it.
- If you dropped an element and didn't finish configuring it (like leaving a button without a label or action), it could prevent saving.
- Maybe try creating a new tab container and try placing in the new container to see if it's just a glitch.
- Browser issue - try a different browser or clear the cache and reload. May be a browser issue and not a Domo issue.
Re: Issues with SUM Function within SQL Transformations
@martinez473 It looks like the issue is that you're calculating the percentage before rolling up on a monthly level, so your card is adding up the percentages of each row of your dataset. I'd recommend changing the Meals per Day and Participation to beast modes within your card that calculate percentages based off the totals instead of individual rows.
Meals per Day
SUM(`Total Reimbursable Meals`)/sum(`Serving Days`)
Participation
(SUM(`Total Reimbursable Meals`)/sum(`Serving Days`))/NULLIF(`20th Day`,0)
