Re: What API do I need to pull data from a website?
It depends on the platform and if they have an accessible API or not. There are other scripting language options you can do but require a bit of technical expertise like Python and Beautiful Soup or Selenium.
Re: Using Magic ETL to extract a substring using Regex and excluding remaining strings
Thanks @DashboardDude for the workaround. This made total sense as an alternative solution! I got stuck in a box and, due to stubbornness, didn't consider a non-Regex solution haha.
Re: Glossary of Dashboards and Cards in the Instance
@colemenwilson While I understand the idea of "We have provided you the tools, lumber, and plans, now build your own house" I think what @Casey_Dorman {Domo} is expressing here is the idea of a built in and complete solution that transfers from Instance to Instance, rather than a DIY / built in set of tools in a particular instance.
I think there would be a huge advantage to Domo, their partners, and their customers, to have a solution around data discovery and observability that is useful, thoughtful, and consistent.
Re: Variable Manager (Similar to Beast Mode Manager)
I am experiencing same struggles as @swagner. as per Maria's suggestion Expanding Beast Mode Manager to include variables would be most logical way to go about it
Re: Variable Manager (Similar to Beast Mode Manager)
Yes! I second that. Please enhance beast mode manager to also be able to manage variables.
Re: Variable Manager (Similar to Beast Mode Manager)
Completely agree that having a way to manage variables would be helpful, @swagner. Expanding Beast Mode Manager to include variables would be a great way to do it since variables require beast modes to function in cards and dashboards.
