Re: Variable Control Title and Descriptions - Ability to Format Text
Yes, would love a way to give us the ability to provide custom styling for cards, fields, etc.
Re: Variable Control Title and Descriptions - Ability to Format Text
I might end up making this as a separate idea in the exchange, but we need the ability to sort the items in the variable dropdown list. They don't automatically sort alphabetical and if you don't enter them in the right order the first time, you are stuck with that order. Just tried removing items and then adding them back in alphabetical order and it is not holding.
Re: YoY Chart
@domoexpert I'd suggest using a Variance Trendline card under the Period Over Period chart types, though note that these types of charts do not offer much customization
YoY Chart
I want to create a YoY line chart with Time on the x axis, YoY change on the Y axis and Year in the series. So it would have 3 lines for the years E.G 2021,2022,2023
How can i do this?
Re: Sharing card with a user will automatically grant the user access to the dataset?
Hi @user070845,
I can't find it explicitly stated in the Domo Documentation, but If the user can view the card, they will get access to the dataset that powers that card. PDP is the way to go when limiting access to the different records in your dataset if this is sensitive data.
You may want to consider giving folks that shouldn't have access to datasets in general a different role. For example, Participant users can see cards and dashboards but cannot access datasets:
Here is what the view of a card in Domo looks like for a Particpant user, note there is no "Data" icon at the top of the page.
And when I click on the "Salesforce" link to the dataset here is what I get:
Re: Multi Line chart
The line chart does have series option and you would put your 2nd value in the series and choose an aggregate option.
It looks like Analyzer didn't fully change chart options after you changed what chart you initially started with. Try removing the field from the y-axis and then add it back. This usually refreshes the fields that are available for the chart.
Re: How to show YTD data in Tabular format?
@SayyedHussain If you want to only include months to date you can add a beast mode filter like the one below:
case when MONTH(`Date`) <= MONTH(CURRENT_DATE()) then 'Include' else 'Exclude' end
