Re: Can't seem to sort the dates on the X-axis
As I thought only after I added it to the dataset in ETL it started sorting normally. Thanks again for your help @ArborRose !
Re: How can I avoid denominator should not get filtered while calculating the percentage in beast mode
@SwapnaE you can use FIXED functions to achieve this in your denominator.
Say your filter column is called ColumnB, and you want to allow a date column (DATE) to filter
COUNT(ColumnB) FIXED (FILTER ALLOW DATE))
You can set which columns are allowed to impact the denominator.
This will prevent all columns except for what you allow from impacting your denominator.
Here is a good reference article you can use to dial in the exact set up you need for your particular requirements.
Re: Compare against a specific date?
@david_cunningham That did it. It would help if I used the right chart type 😁
Re: Public embedding of a dashboard
Appreciate your help. For any other person who has this problem, just be sure to include the https:// WITHOUT including www (use * instead).
Re: Can't seem to sort the dates on the X-axis
It appears to be sorting…just not the sort you are looking for. When I do values using year & month, I create a monthname and a month (integer value). For example monthname(CURRDATE()) might give me "April". Whereas month(CURRDATE()) would give me "4". I put the monthname version on the card and put the month version on the sort. That way monthnames are sorted as January, February, March….etc. Instead of alphabetically. Looking at your image, that appears to be what is happening. The year is sorted but the months are being sorted by monthname rather than month number.
Re: Embed error, duplicate of dashboard does not work
It turns out we need to share the dashboard with the account that created the embed authentication client in order for it to show up in the embed on our site.
a. The programmatic embed in our site has an authenticating token attached to it; that token is associated with the a particular Domo account. This means the dashboard to be embedded must be shared with that account
b. The token is made up of a unique ClientID (string) and Secret (string). It is generated using the developers "Create New Client" interface within Domo.
It would be helpful if this information (dashboard/card to be embedded must be shared with the account that created the client authentication) was made explicit in the programmatic authentication and create new client documentation.
Hopefully this post will help others!
Re: Case Statement - 28 Days from a specific date?
@dlc3 Amazing solution! Going to be using this for sure!
