Re: Sharing custom themes in App Studio
Custom themes are currently saved to an individual app.
To create custom theme, a user needs to select save as theme then it will store it to custom themes panel. We are working to add the capability to copy a theme from one app to another in the upcoming months that would let you use custom themes across different apps.
Current workaround is to duplicate the app and save that theme and use that new app!
Re: Calculating Percent of Total, and Getting Correct Totals
Whoopsie. Thanks for the catch on caregiver vs. care_recipient. I'm now getting the expected results from the following function:
SUM(COUNT (DISTINCT CASE when caregiver.action.status = 'current' then caregiver.action.ownerId
END)) over (partition by caregiver.action.slug)
Thanks to you and @DavidChurchman
Re: Calculating Percent of Total, and Getting Correct Totals
It's because the total is calculated based on the overall distinct count, but the rows are the distinct count within the group. Take this example dataset.
To do this with a distinct count, you would use the following beast mode
SUM(COUNT(DISTINCT id)) over (partition by group)
You can see that this results in a total of the distinct counts by group. You'll have to decide whether or not that is actually what you want to evaluate against.
Re: How to Export filtered dataset?
@terrydoyle You can also filter an existing dataset in Views Explorer without saving a new dataset using the "Export" option in the top right corner.
Re: Create a Line Chart that shows the different series while also showing the aggregate of the series?
The easiest way I have found to do this is to use the Segments feature.
https://domo-support.domo.com/s/article/4403089503383?language=en_US
In the columns to create a segment, select the column that is in your series and then either select all the items in the selection, or choose match values and choose does not contain and enter something like zz which you know will not be in the list. (this 2nd option is helpful when you the series values may change).
Add the segment to the chart in the now present segment field and it will aggregate the same way your y-axis is aggregating. (I'm assuming you already have the y-axis set to sum).
Re: Create a Line Chart that shows the different series while also showing the aggregate of the series?
@joebenz You could also create a Segment for your grand total. Here is more information about Segments:
Re: Create a Line Chart that shows the different series while also showing the aggregate of the series?
I think @GrantSmith's suggestion is probably the best way to do this. If you only have a few country values in your dataset, though, you could also do this by building beast modes for the metric for each country one at a time, then a total beast mode, and plotting them all together.
Re: Create a Line Chart that shows the different series while also showing the aggregate of the series?
You could take your entire dataset, set the series column value to 'Grand Total' and then stack that with your original dataset so you then have a Grand Total value in your series to get the format you're looking for.
Re: Set the default value of date type Variable to current date or today's date
@Casey_Dorman {Domo} being able to use a formula for this would be a great solution so you could then default the date to the end of the last week or the end of the last complete month.
