Re: Create a Line Chart that shows the different series while also showing the aggregate of the series?
The easiest way I have found to do this is to use the Segments feature.
https://domo-support.domo.com/s/article/4403089503383?language=en_US
In the columns to create a segment, select the column that is in your series and then either select all the items in the selection, or choose match values and choose does not contain and enter something like zz which you know will not be in the list. (this 2nd option is helpful when you the series values may change).
Add the segment to the chart in the now present segment field and it will aggregate the same way your y-axis is aggregating. (I'm assuming you already have the y-axis set to sum).
Re: Does Beast Mode support using "Contains" to Identify Value Count
Can you put a variable inside the %s? So:
CASE WHEN fieldname LIKE '%'variable a'%' THEN 'Self-Service' ELSE 'Something else'
Re: Period over Period with Non-Time X Axis
I think you can do this using a Grouped Bar chart. The x-axis would be locations, and you'll have to create beast modes for the 'This year' and '1 year ago' metrics. When you plot them next to each other, you'll get the viz you want. It's just a little more work than the out-of-the-box YOY chart.
Re: Weekly Average Graphed by Month
Keep in mind this is not a fully fleshed out solution, but does work if you are just looking at general trends. Depends how exact you want/need to be in your weekly average. But one possible solution is to graph by month, and then have a beast mode like this.
SUM(value)*12/52
This is likely better than just dividing by 4.
You could also adjust this as needed to dial in how you want to approach weekly average.
SUM(value)12/365*7
Then just set it up in a stacked bar chart with your group as the series and weekly_average as the y-axis. It's important to note that this approach isn't super flexible. You'll need to always graph by month, or adjust your beast mode. If you wanted a more robust option, that is possible, but would use a date dimension table and ETL.

I've recorded this video walking through how to do this:

Re: DomoXCanva Challenge Details
For those that are working on this challenge and want to use a Domo Brick instead of a Custom App, I walk through how to do it in this video:
Re: Beast mode for help Sorting column
If you have a lot of different combinations and don't want to do this manually, an option is to do it in ETL with REGEXP_REPLACE.
REGEXP_REPLACE(string, '^.(\d).$', '$1')*1
Re: Is it possible to upload many google sheets at the same time?
Agree with @david_cunningham here, and wanted to point out even if the columns weren't the same, nothing stopping you from making your dataset super-wide and splitting the columns in MagicETL. In other words, you could put your tables side-by-side up to 18,278 columns of data then import.
