Re: pivot tile?
This should work:
That said, the format you have your data in already is ideal for most uses. You could also pivot it as is in a Pivot Table Card:
Re: Apply a % Model based on an identifying field
Hi @_DanielB_,
I would define a variable with two options: "Selected Customer" and "All Customers." When "Selected Customer" is chosen, the filter card will enable customer-specific filtering. If "All Customers" is selected, filter options will be removed. Calculations and filters will be adjusted accordingly based on the selected option.
Here is an example dataset:
The variable:
The table:
Calculation:
CASE
WHEN DOMO Forum Answers Var = 'Selected Customer' THEN SUM(Model %)
WHEN DOMO Forum Answers Var = 'All Customers' THEN CASE WHEN Model Type = 'Standard' THEN SUM(Model %) END
END
Filter:
CASE
WHEN DOMO Forum Answers Var = 'Selected Customer' THEN 'TRUE'
WHEN DOMO Forum Answers Var = 'All Customers' THEN CASE WHEN Model Type = 'Standard' THEN 'TRUE' END
END
The result will be displayed on the dashboard. When "Selected Customer" is selected, the filter will show all customers, allowing the user to choose one.
And the result is calculated for each Model Type:
When "All Customers" is selected, the customer filter remains empty, and the results are calculated only for Standard Model Types.
I hope this meets your requirements. If you need any modifications or have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to assist further.
Re: Bullet chart color rule
ArborRose's approach works on most card types, but not on the Bullet Chart. For whatever reason, Bullets won't accept color rules like this. If I were to guess why, it's that the philosophy behind a Bullet Chart is to show progress against targets using the relationship between the bar and the target marker, so a color would be redundant, but it is limiting.
If you want a pop of color when you meet/don't meet the target, you could use unicode characters in a tool tip (hat tip to ArborRose's fake data):
Case
when Price* Quantity >= Budget then '🔵'
when Price* Quantity < Budget then '❌'
END
You can see this highlights a second annoying limitation of Bullets in Domo, in that you can't control what the data labels appear on (Actual Value vs. Target vs. everything), so you end up with redundant marks on the graph.
If you're willing to ditch the Bullet (I usually do!) another approach is using the Symbol + Stacked Bar:
To achieve that, I broke up Total into Total (over budget) and Total (under budget):
If you used the Symbol + graph, make sure to check the option to "Sync Value Scale" in the general properties, which is off by default.
And to go even farther from your original request, IMO changing the color of the whole bar can be a bit busy. You could take a similar approach, but color-code the budget icon instead, giving you more control over what draws attention on the chart:
Re: Can I use Python libraries in Domo?
You can view a list of installed packages on the packages tab inside the python tile. If you do a search for scipy you should see it in the list.
Re: Overview Page for Participants
@mlb I solved this by making directory pages for my users. We have a "Login Page" that is the default for every users. On that page it has some links to other important dashboards/cards as well as links to departmental dashboards. If you create a dashboard and add a text card you can change the card interaction to link to anything in Domo (and even outside of Domo). Here is an example of our welcome page in the Dojo Domo instance Each one of those icon's is a link to something.

Re: Switch Order of Period over Period Chart
I don't believe there is. I'd recommend logging a ticket in the idea exchange. Alternatively you can redo your underlying data architecture to give yourself more control over how the data is displayed by using a custom period over period ETL. I've written about this here: https://community-forums.domo.com/main/discussion/53481/a-more-flexible-way-to-do-period-over-period-comparisons#latest
Re: DDX Brick: Page Filter
So I have finally figured this out, I'm going to add it here because I couldn't find a clear answer anywhere on the web. The secret seemed to be resetting the innerHTML of the chart to empty so it will actually re-render. This really should be in the documentation somewhere.
domo.onFiltersUpdate((filters) => {
//custom logic to react to filters
fetchData().then(function(data){
chartIt(data);
}
}
function fetchData(){
return return domo.get();
}
function chartIt(){
//This here is the important bit
document.getElementById('chart').innerHTML = '';
//all the normal logic for rendering the chart
}
