Re: What is the best way to calculate?
@damen You'll need to remove 'instrument' from Series, and create the separate beast modes for each instrument you want to measure. Ex:
AVG(case when 'instrument'= 'first home exempt' then 'spread' end)
and a separate one:
AVG(case when 'instrument' = 'home again' then 'spread' end)
Then you'll take one of these and put in Value, and then put the other one in Series as well as the difference beast mode in Series You'll end up with something that looks like this:
It's not very intuitive and it looks weird, but it works.
Re: How can I make a window function (or fixed function) ignore interactive filters?
@GrantSmith - Thank you! FIXED (FILTER NONE) is exactly what I was looking for. I do think it is odd that FIXED (REMOVE `specific field`) didn't work but FILTER NONE did. Either way, thanks for the suggestion, this is working for me now
Re: How can I make a window function (or fixed function) ignore interactive filters?
Have you tried using FILTER NONE as part of the FIXED function to prevent all filtering on your window function?
Re: Population calculations in beast mode?
I think that I am following this question correctly. I have taken a dataset that looks like this:
And converted it so that I get one row of data for each date between the DateAdmitted and DateDischarged for each ClientID. For example, my output dataset (filtered for Client "B") has 5 rows of data. Each row representing 1 HeadCount for the given day:
I can now graph the total headcount and still be able to filter for Gender or Age or Facility:
What is happening to the metadata in your python script that is preventing you from filtering on that data?
Re: Request for Topics
I would like to see more training around some of the newer features. For Example, when you release a new chart type, it should come with a training. Not only a training to help users understand how to build the chart, what options are available in the properties, etc... but also a training about why and when this chart should be used over other options. Why did Domo feel this chart was a benefit to their library?
I would also want training around features. For example, Segments. How do you build segments? How do you use them? But also why would you build segment? What situations are the right time to look into setting up segments as a solution?
In my mind, anytime a new feature or chart type is added, there should be at least one training course to answer these kinds of questions.
Re: Connections with other Domo Everywhere / whitelable companies and users
We are in a similar position and have just started using domo and domo everywhere's whitelabeled solution. Would be great to connect 👍
