Re: Selecting only newer records from a remote datasource to append to a Domo datasource
@JohnnyN - Depending on how you are bringing the data into Domo, you could also change your dataset to be an upsert. If you search the knowledge base for upsert you should be able to see which connectors have this option.
Re: I want to create a column that contains the total sum of another column.
The Group by tile will work if you want to perform this calculation in ETL. However, the downside there is that the total will be calculated based on the logic that you build into the ETL. For example, if you partition your totals to give you the total monthly sales you would not be able to change the data in a visualization to show weekly sales. Also, if you wanted to exclude a particular product or region, you would need to determine that prior to the group by tile and would not be able to change that decision at the card level.
I would suggest using a calculated field and a variable for this. Something like:
Variable 1:
Create a variable that would allow you to select the metric that you want to partition the data by. Either Month, Year, Region, Manager, etc.
Then create a beastmode to use that variable:
SUM(SUM(`Sales`)) FIXED (BY `Variable1`)
This would allow more flexibility in terms of how you are totaling the sales. Also, by using a calculated field, if you decide to filter out a product or region, The calculation will respond to those filters and update the value in your card.
Re: Graph by Feature not visible
@Ashleigh It looks like it's because the Graph by is set to "None" in analyzer. If you set it to graph by a particular date grain then you should have the option to change it from the card details
Re: Multi-tab input
Hi @Aag2023
When you use file upload, you actually need to select the tab you want to import first. So if you have 3 tabs, you'll have to import each at a time. THEN, at the ETL you can choose that input to use. Same would be with Google Sheets- you have to select the tab you want to import before you use it in the ETL
Re: How do I set up a connector for Lumar which uses GraphQL?
@user029082, You can also start by trying some things in Postman. Postman has a GraphQL client that could return to you your schema. Their demo in their documenation shows that and I tried it with my GraphQL API and it returned it to me. It's a good way to get familiar. But that's not all.
Postman's documentation shows how to make a request to a GraphQL API using the standard HTTP or Curl requests. I think the best solution they give is to write the query using JSON in the body . It's a little tricky at first, but I was able to muddle through it and create syntax that is compatible with Domo's No-Code JSON connector. I used the OAuth version of this connector and retrieved the data I was seeking. I will be building a fair number of these for a project. But the nice thing is that I didn't have to build a new connector.

Re: New Dataflow Run Options
Good catch! It appeared out of the blue this morning, but I was working on an ETL that is triggered by other datasets finishing, so I didn't notice there was no option for manual trigger. I think you just saved me from pulling more hair out.
