Re: Company Overview Chart Color Picker
I agree that it does not seem to change anything when enabled.
My guess is that it may have to do with Brand Kit, which our instance does not have enabled. Brand Kit is a Domo paid feature that allows for instance wide branding - including colors. Perhaps when enabled users could override the default brand colors for cards?
@GrantStowell @AnnaYardley @sierrawise Is there anyone from Domo who could answer this?
Re: Company Overview Chart Color Picker
I actually resolved this myself because after I enabled it and saw no difference I put it back to a disabled state. When I did this, I went to an existing card (and created a new card) and both instances the configuration in color rules no longer displayed the feature where you can manually type in the hex# or change the opacity. When I re-enabled it, those options came back.
Basically it seems like it was a feature we already had enabled but the flag to enable/disable was added to administrate after the fact?
When I engaged it, I inadvertently turned it off, so after turning it back on, I basically synced our working options to the flag.
Hope this helps

Re: How to alter a column in text and cast data type as integer?
You can also just click on the cog next to the cast data type in the Alter Columns tile and under Bad Values, choose Null. The tile will then convert all the values to integer that are actually integers and then null out all the values that don't convert.
Re: Rank & Window Function
What about step (1) where you need to define the formula to use? Do you need to grab the Latest Date from the whole dataset or partitioned by something (like the last time for each Id, category, etc). Based on your description you don't need a Rank and Window tile, but a Group By Tile instead, your ETL might end up looking something like:
Where you have a constant that applies to all Rows, and you get the Max ID for all of them. If your Max date needs to be scoped you do so by selecting the grouping columns, and once you have the value you do a Join back to the original table to append the column.
Keep in mind that any Aggregation that happens in ETL will not be responsive to page/view level filters.
Hope this helps!
Re: Rank & Window Function
In the first part of the tile, what did you choose for the "function to apply". I would suggest choosing Rank and then you should be able to use what you have selected for the second half, assuming PaidDate is a date. The next step would be to add filter tile after this and filter to where rank = 1, which would get you the latest paid date.
Another option would be to use the group by tile instead and choose the aggregation type of Max for your Paiddate field.
Re: trying to create a beast mode calc
Hmm no problem @Abe ,
If you all ever need, I teach a course on how to use Domo:
Feel free to book 30 with me if you want to show me what you're trying to do:
Re: trying to create a beast mode calc
Perhaps if you divided that by the day of the month, like this:
SUM(COUNT(TicketNbr)) OVER (PARTITION BY board_name ORDER BY date_entered)
/ DAYOFMONTH(date_entered)
Re: Can I turn over provisioning of new Domo users to my internal IT team to handle it all using Okta?
@BryantCafferty I believe you can have Domo inherit directory groups from Okta that you can use to manage access without a manual touch. Here are the directions from Domo's Admin panel.
Re: Combine Dynamic by OrgID and Simple Filters in Domo Publish
Figured this out. When setting up data permissions, it is possible to add a second policy for the same dataset. In this case, I have one policy that filters dynamically by Org ID, and another that just filters to the state data I needed.
