Re: Sum of Specific Expense Type
Depending on what you are actually displaying, you could simply drag your expense category into the filters and filter to that specific category.
If you need to still show the other categories, you can create a beast mode that only sums that category like this:
SUM(CASE WHEN category = 'mycategory' THEN valuefield END)
Re: PDF Attachments with Scheduled Reports
Our organization would really like to have this feature enabled as part of the DOMO Platform. Business users have a critical need to address sending emails out to external customers with their reports as pdf attachments.
Re: How to create calculated items (Not calculated field) in pivot table dashboard
If your dataset in Domo contains the fields Sales and Cost, you would create a beast mode in Analyzer that is simply Sales - Cost and label it Profit. You would then drag that into your pivot table rows or values section
Re: Help
You would use the chart type "Pivot Table" found in the Chart Types section in Card Analyzer (see below)
In your pivot table you would drag your category field into the "Rows" input. Drag the Date field into the "Columns" input and lastly drag your beastmode calcuations into the "Values" input.
Re: How can we stop the dataset from disabling with time automatically?
If you don't want the dataset to go into this state, I would create a card based off of it and add it to your Overview page. You might also build a scheduled report off that card to ensure it is being accessed.
Re: Filtering on Calculated Values
Hmm I am not getting the same error, see below:
Could you screenshot your beastmode so we can take a look?
Re: How do I alter Date (in Text format : 01.09.2023) to Date format?
Based on the error message, it looks as though one of your rows contains a value of LAST_RUN and not any form of a date. You can try and handle this two different ways. In your formula tile, you can try wrapping a TRY_CAST function around your STR_TO_DATE function like this:
TRY_CAST(STR_TO_DATE(Date, '%Y-%m-%d') as DATE)
This will attempt to convert it to a date field and if it can't it will just make the value null.
In the alter tile, click on the settings cog next to the cast data type and select Null in the Bad Values dropdown list. This will do the same thing as above, as it will make the value null if it can't convert it to a date for you.
Re: Add a condition on line plot to toggle between AVG and SUM conditions
The issue is with the count portion, are you looking for distinct row counts you can CONCAT all of the fields together:
COUNT(CONCAT(Plant, Group, Code, Month, Name, Part Number1, Part Number2))
