When users share cards with other users, those new users are automatically given access to the dataset. There are a few requests in the ideas exchange I think regarding changing this behavior, but for now there's not really a work around. You can find more info here:

Re: Alerts are not being triggered even thought the condition is met
@Marie_Serrano It looks like this alert was set on a card. Double check that the card does not have any filters set on it and confirm that there are no page filters that might be blocking this data on the page the card is located on. Also confirm that the summary number for the card is still set to what you are expecting. I have had an issue where another user edited a card that I had set an alert on and changed the summary number. An alternative would be to set an alert on the dataset itself, or to create a dataset view that applies any filters you need and set the alert on that.

Agreed, I have been encountering the same issue in both instances using Chrome/Windows 10. I will have to test whether it works as expected on other browsers or operating systems.

I have been experiencing the same issue. I use Chrome on a Windows PC. I haven't tried Edge to see if I experience the same thing to truly determine if it is a browser issue or not.

You can keep them from showing by doing the following:
On the dashboard, click on the wrench and choose Filter Options
Then toggle off the Show Filter and PDP icons

When I'm dealing with beast mode logic issues I'll typically break out each part of the beast mode into separate beast modes and use a table chart to see which parts match and which do not to see if there's an issue with the logic.

You'd have to disable the Personalized Data Permissions (PDP) on the dataset in order for the icon to go away. PDP controls what data your users can see, though, so not likely something you'd want disabled.
