Re: How do I used a Create / Use / output table using a SQL transform SQL type / CREATE PROCEDURE?
When you call the procedure, don't use the ;
CALL transpose()
This should be done as a SQL transform step.
Re: Initial Card Selection Settings
Unfortunately not. I think it is Domo's way to give you a quick glimpse of what the card will look like, even though it rarely correctly selects the fields that you intend to use. You can turn off the auto preview option when in the Analyzer, which will make it quicker for you to change what fields you want to include in your chart and it doesn't try and render the results each time you change a field.
Your idea is a useful suggestion to include in the Ideas Exchange section of the Dojo and see if they could incorporate that setting per user.
Re: Google Analytics 4 property not showing in connector
I'm having the same issue... I see an assortment of different GA connectors (e.g. Google Analytics Enterprise), but not Google Analytics.
Re: Separate Date from the text
If you know that your text is always going to start with "Email somedate" then you can use the substring function to extract the date. In this example, you would do SUBSTRING(textfield,7,10) to get the date. You could also wrap the STR_TO_DATE function around the substring function to format it in a particular way if you would like.
If the location of the date is going to vary in the text field, this will be much more difficult.
Re: What does 'Last 3 Years' mean?
Last 3 years will include the year you are currently in. So, it would currently be 2021, 2020 and 2019.
Re: R Script Packages
@user15776 , it is possible to have an environment spun up in MagicETL with additional packages included. You would have to coordinate with Domo Support and your CSM.
Also, if you have the option, try to go with Jupyter Notebook Integration (or get it added as a trial) you can use pip install to install your own packages in JNI. Once your script is complete, then you would have an easier (less friction) time going to support saying, "this is the tooling I need to automate my pipeline"
Re: R Script Packages
Hi @jimmy
If you talk with your CSM they may be able to spin up an environment with your required packages.
Re: Filled Gauge Chart
Hi @user082291
has something changed with your date fields? Are there now nulls in your date field?
Can you try an alternate method for calculating date difference by using UNIX_TIMESTAMP?
’’’
ROUND(AVG((UNIX_TIMESTAMP(`Investigation End Date`-UNIX_TIMESTAMP(`Investigation Start Date`))/60/60/24),0)
’’’
simply it’s calculating the number of seconds between the two dates and converting them to data using division
I’m on mobile so there may be some syntactical errors.
Re: Filled Gauge Chart
@user082291 , convert your card into a table card and confirm that it still retrieves values.
Also, are you confident that your EndDate and StartDate never contain nulls?
If it does contain nulls, can you confirm that the math still works as desired.
ROUND(AVG(DATEDIFF(`Investigation End Date`,`Investigation Start Date`)),0)
Also, Domo recently (i'd say in the last 5 weeks) changed the functionality of Domo such that you can't wrap aggregate functions (AVG) inside another function (ROUND). This may or may not be part of your problem, but do try removing the ROUND() function and see if it works, first as a table card, then as a gauge.
Re: Tableau-like Parameter actions
Hi @gbuckley
you can control which lines are shown after aggregation has applied by clicking on the legend. So you could hide all the other fruits except apples and allow the user to select which fruit they want to display on the chart.
Alternatively you could pre aggregate your data in an ETL and calculate your overall percentage based on the total using the rank and window tile in a magic Etl. Then when the user filters the data it would have the percentage for the entire dataset still and wouldn’t be affected by the filtering but only show your filtered fruit.
