Re: Add REGEX functions to Beast Mode
my team members ask for this all the time and would be a great addition for when we only need it for reporting and not at the dataset level
Is it possible to create a tooltip for one column in a table/card?
Say I have a column "Masked PhoneNo" that shows ***7890. Is it possible to hover over this text (usually a column in a table) and display the full PhoneNo (123-456-7890) which is a different column in my dataset?
Re: Can a "Response Required Email" step in a workflow be sent to a variable user?
Hi Dan,
Thanks for coming back on this. We are using a comprehensive workflow that kicks off from a form user task. The idea is access to reports. Once a form is submitted, we send an email to the submitters line manager to approve/reject the request. That's the tricky bit, we can't get all users to install the App, so we're directing them to the queue in Domo (desktop), to find an approve/reject.
This is now working okay, but the final issue is we can't assign the task to that line manager in the queue, as we can't extract the line manager as a Person variable in the Domo workflow only as an object, or are we wrong on that point?
Many thanks for your help, really appreciated!
John
Re: Table cards: Expand/Collapse on Multiple Columns
Very frustrating that this is limited to one field
Re: Card and Page Tags
Would love to see this or folders as a method for organizing "loose" cards which I don't want on a dashboard.
Re: Heatmap for Pivot Tables
@chetan_cricut There is an option to Transpose columns and rows for the Mega Table card. I like to build everything as a table first (be sure to add your date field as the first column), and then apply the heatmap settings I need. Lastly, transpose the columns to rows and you get an 'almost pivot table'
You could also try the Heatmap card type, but you may have to get creative with the date fields to get the granularity you need
Re: Subpages for Pages in AppStudio
Additionally it would good if we make the tabs dynamic. It should enable and disable on some logic.
Re: Heatmap for Pivot Tables
If all you are pivoting is a single value metric by two categories, like in your example, you can use the "Heat map" chart type from "Popular charts" (not the Heat Map table). That pivots your data and gives a lot of heatmap options. I also like it because it's the only table type where you can use Tooltips to get a lot of control over how/what value is displayed. The only downside is no scrolling, so you are limited in size.
Re: Pass Logged In User to Beast Mode?
Hi @M_Gonzalez,
Your question involves multiple aspects. To control the information visible to each user, you must use PDP on your card, as this cannot be managed via Beast Mode.
Activating PDP will filter rows based on the logged-in user, affecting the total sales formula. To address this, implement an ETL process to add a column that calculates total sales per item.
And finally, you can easily create a Beast mode formula to calculate the "% of Total Company Sales" and "% of User Sales". If you need further assistance with Beast Mode, feel free to reach out.
