Re: How could I generate an end date for each row of data based on the start date of another row?
@wilbaile Use the Rank & Window tile in Magic ETL with the Lead function with an offset of 1 and ordering by summary_date, and partition by client_id. This will get the summary_date from the next row, and will look at it by client_id so the last row of each client_id should still be null.
Re: Defining Custom Color Palettes
so... this isn't closed, so i'm just gonna add: this is an enhancement that would be a huge win. is there any update on this or even on the roadmap?
Re: Syntax for null
It sounds like your data might actually not be null but an empty string. Try something like this to handle empty strings and strings with just spaces:
WHEN COALESCE(TRIM(`Building Status`), '') = '' THEN 'XYX'
coalesce returns the first non-null value in the parameters supplied. This forces null values to be an empty string.
TRIM strips all whitespace (spaces, newlines) from the start and end of a string. This simplifies the check for string values which are just 1 or more spaces.
Re: alternative for parameter in Tableau
@Pau You can use Variables in Domo. Right now it's in beta but is going live with the feature update on Oct. 19th (I think that's the date I remember). If you want access before then, you can contact your CSM about having beta access to it.
Re: Aggregating Numbers
You can’t change how the data is displayed conditionally based on the type of chart selected. You can graph it as a bar chart and by default it will display the raw data table when the user clicks on the card in the details view.
Re: Aggregating Numbers
@mroker Agree with@GrantSmith above. You can just aggregate as normal in the card using SUM() and it will take into account negatives. Then in the drill path, your raw data will show the amount as you posted above.

Re: Weeks one week different
Hi @AdamC do you know if you have a fiscal calendar enabled on your instance? If you don't, then Domo's native week groupings consider Week 1 as January 1 through the end of that calendar week. Since January 1, 2022 was a Saturday, Week 1 2022 is comprised of just one day by this logic, which may differ than your company's fiscal weeks. Domo's Fiscal Calendars give you the ability to customize how to group fiscal weeks, periods, quarters, and years.

Re: How do I change the field type for a column on an existing table?
@hanmari You should be able to add an Alter Columns tile to your existing dataflows to change the field from an integer to text. If this field is used in existing joins, then you will need to change the datatype for both sides of the join. I would not anticipate that this would cause a significant impact to existing cards, though I recommend using the "Cards" tab on the output dataset to verify that none of them break.
Re: How to make my BeastMode dynamic
You can use the QUARTER function and the YEAR function eliminate all of your case statement. You could do this:
CONCAT('Q',QUARTER(`dt`),' ',YEAR(`dt`))
