Re: Set job schedule
@user02055 You can turn off error emails by deselecting the "Notify on Error" checkbox in the Notifications tab on your Workbench job: https://domohelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407013819671-Setting-Notifications-in-Workbench-5-1
However, I would recommend adjusting the schedule to start a little after 6 am to account for the scheduled maintenance rather than turning off error notifications all together.
Re: I'm trying to figure out a beast mode for a card for points?
Points to dollars:
'points' / 10 (ex: for 500 points, 500/10 = $50
Or going from dollars to points:
'dollars' * 10 (ex: for $50, 50*10 = 500 points)
You're not really dropping a zero, you're just moving the decimal point one spot over.
Re: How can I get rid of HTML table/cell borders?
Hey @GrantSmith thanks for getting back to me on this!
I found an interesting (but, limited) workaround that I thought I would share here. I knew that I could change the cell background color of an HTML table with a div tag, so I then thought, "What if I change the cell background color to match the default table border color?"
So, I took a screenshot of my table and uploaded it to a website that takes an image input and enables the user to pinpoint a specific pixel on the image and retrieve the hex code. I found the hex code of the default Domo table border color to be #cccccc (like a semi-dark grey). I then added the following code to the beginning of my Beast Mode:
CONCAT('<div style="background-color:#cccccc; border:10px white; border-collapse: collapse; color:black; margin:-10px; padding:10px">',
After the comma, you simply add in whatever Beast Mode code you had written before and then be sure to end the Beast Mode with ,'</div>') to close off the original CONCAT function.
This left me with an HTML table card that appears like a paragraph of text! The only caveat with this method is that you have to stick with the #cccccc hex code.
Re: Can you fill null pivot table cells with the previous non null value?
Currently this isn't possible within the pivot table. You'd have to do this within an ETL to process your data.
Re: To create ETL
Hi @EminARSLLAN, did you add the output dataset? Can you attach the screenshot of the ETL, incase if I'm missing anything?
I have checked and was able to upload Excel file into Domo in my instance. Can you try uploading again?
Re: Formatting Fiscal Year and Quarter columns
We maintain a date lookup table that we leverage across multiple datasets that tells us the specific things we need to know about our fiscal year, like quarter, week number, prior year, etc. that would be relevant across all dates. It can be a little work to ramp up a table, but the payoff is there. A join on the date through magic ETL will give you just about any naming conventions you might need.
Re: Magic ETL: How to REMOVE Rows Meeting a Two-Column Criteria?
Think of a filter tile as trying to selected the rows that match a certain criteria. If you're using a filter formula you can invert the logic. So if you know the logic you want to remove add a NOT in front of everything encapsulated in parenthesis.
NOT (`column 1` IS NOT NULL AND `column 2` IS NULL)
If you take the inverse of that logic you'd take out your NOT NULL and replace with NULL and replace NULL with NOT NULL and also convert AND conditions to OR condition and OR conditions to AND conditions.
Re: How to calculate best?
For the final calculation, you could try something like:
(SUM(CASE WHEN `Field` IN ('9','10') THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) -- Sum of 9 and 10
-
SUM(CASE WHEN `Field` IN ('9','10') THEN 0 ELSE 1 END)) -- Sum of all Other Values
/
COUNT(`Field`)
It's hard to be too sure without seeing more of the dataset, Could you post a few lines of the data?
