Thanks @GrantStowell! I've been working more directly with Domo and with top contributors here, but I miss that direct connection in the community forum. What have you found to be missing? The information on dataset views is in the datasets dataset. The Import type is dataset-view. Anything downstream should follow the same path that datasets do. There is also a new additional dataset with the view's input dataset listed.

If you change your company time zone to UTC, you will be all set. That will simply mean that dates and times in your data will not be converted unless you convert them.

That gets dicey fast. Best practice is to leave your company time zone at UTC. That will minimize the number of datasets that require conversion in most cases.
