Documentation on Pivot Table and Mega Table

Does anyone know of any good documentation on the new Mega Table?  Just wondering what are the benefits and when I should use a mega table vs a regular table?  I see the difference with the new Pivot Table but wondering about the Mega Table.  Any information?

    The mega table is in beta.  My understanding is that when it is ready for public release, it will simply replace the table card.

    Initially Legacy Table will still be available once Mega Table is released. This Article includes information on Mega Tables.
