I think the best idea to cover more use cases is to just allow us the flexibility to select the fields for all filter settings esp. Persistent filter in the Action Settings and the Clear Filter Action too.
I have a second dashboard that mimics a drill through feature but instead of card-to-card drill through, it's a page-to-page drill through, which includes multiple cards that gets filtered automatically from what was clicked in a prior page.
If there's a select field option to all the filter settings, like the one we have in the app filter options, we could design a better dashboard that has app-wide filters along with page-specific filters and a clear filter button that can clear only the filters that we intend to be cleared and retain the ones that need to be.
