Adobe v2 OAuth Connector and reconciling visit data

Hi - I've been using the Adobe v2 Connector for several months, but have always had issues reconciling Adobe and Domo Reporting. For example, visit data is off in Domo by as much as 10% depending on the filters and reports I'm trying to run.

It happens because visitors come into our site under one-category (A) and then some choose to self-select a new category (B) during their session. For the purposes of filtering a dashboard, I want to know how many people selected either category, but I only want to count one session vs. summing everything, which is what happens in Domo now.

Ideally, I'd like to import visitor IDs and then use SQL to join these across multiple metrics, filter duplicates, etc. Visitor ID is an available dimension in the new connector, who when I attempt import, I get an error message (Adobe Analytics responded with an error: User does not have access to the global dimension for this request). I next attempted to follow this guide to setup an import including IDs from Adobe Data Warehouse using an Adobe-Hosted FTP, but I'm not sure if this has been deprecated because I'm unable to create the FTP account. Adobe's documentation isn't very helpful and hasn't been updated recently. I know I can use the email connector to send directly to Domo from DW, but doing so would take a long time due to limits on email attachment size.

In short, I'm trying to understand how others are doing this and if there's any up-to-date resources or best practices available to get IDs in Domo or make this work.
