This is my first time in the Beta Community. Can you help me sign up? Great job on the main stage at DP :)

That looks awesome, but can it tie directly to a dataset within DOMO? We basically need the users to actually act on some of the datasets. If datasets can feed/power the Projects & Tasks, then this would indeed be perfect.

Great stuff David. Thanks for sharing and writing a thoughful response. Totally agree on the community. It was AMAZING to meet all of y'all in person. I think this is an important asset to DOMO and they would be remiss to neglect, abuse, ignore, or otherwise undermine the strength of this community. I'm not saying they are…

Yoooo let's gooo!! Looks much better 😎

Dark mode?!?!!? 🥹
-
I love this. Gonna build one for us, thanks for the inspo! Also btw love your branding pallete at Dashboard Dudes. I've always thought the colors were sick Also also I love the data is food analogy - I use it often so thanks for that too!!
-
Perfect, just what I was looking for. Thank you Mark!
-
Maybe all of the Domo Community Members should come up with a secret handshake or specific greeting so we know who is "one of us" 😂
-
Can't wait!!!! I heard @DashboardDude will be giving away the secret to beautiful hair 🙊🙊
-
… going to DP and not skiing ⛷️ … transforming beautiful datasets but never publishing a dashboard 🔢 … being @DataDevon and not getting there until Tuesday 🥲

From within the Chart Properties for the table in question, you can change the "Excel export" row limit per my screenshot below. The default limit is 50k, which is what you are seeing. You can increase this all the way up to 500k rows. Generally speaking though, it's probably going to be best practice to export the data…

I'll be there ⛷️😎 can't wait!!!

If you just need a static goal line (for instance, $1,000 every quarter) then you can use the "Goal" portion of the Y-axis: Or you can use the "Scale Marker" options from within the Properties section. If you need a dynamic goal (for instance, the goal isn't always the same across periods and will change with each passing…

Yes, you're right. I'm calculating a whole number integer, NOT a decimal: ROUND(((Elective Procedures/Medical Procedures)*100),1) The GOAT strikes again 🐐🎯
-
Thank you @ArborRose that is beautiful but I have no idea how that relates to my question 😂
-
Go Grant go!
-
I'd also recommend reading through @GrantSmith 's timeless classic on this common problem: https://community-forums.domo.com/main/discussion/53481/a-more-flexible-way-to-do-period-over-period-comparisons#latest

Ope! Beat you to it. :) The Location Raw column and the Alphanumerical column are basically the same, with the Location Raw column having distinct values thus preventing the intended Grouping aggregation/collapsing. I removed the unneeded Location Raw column, and the resultant column values were all matching thus allowing…

I think I'm so close but can't get across the finish line. Any thoughts?? Here's the ETL: I combine the Month and Year columns so that in the Group By tile I can can GROUP by the Month Year : (If I don't include this, then the Actuals will be grouped by DAY since Actuals are reported daily but Budget is only tied to the…
-
I got the Actual & Budget Pivoted out, but now the Variance Column isn't calculating.. I'm afraid it's another aggregation difference challenge?
-
I did a Group By before the Pivot and it worked! The 🐐 delivers again. Can you help me understand WHY this worked? While I'm excited about the resolution, I wish I understood what was happening under the hood.
-
Let's go!! Can't wait for my first DP 🙌

After reading through all the answers and thinking through it more, I like the idea of a Scheduled Report out of App Studio. This way people are still engaging with Domo, albeit in a more simple and user-friendly way. I was originally leaning towards doing a Google Sheet, but I like the idea of staying within Domo and…
-
Thank you both! That's exactly what I was looking for and you were spot on with regards to building Domo for our team and how they consume data.
-
I always like referencing @DashboardDude 's "Recipe Book": https://www.dashboarddudes.com/recipes He's got every chart type created and formatted to show how they all work and respond to real data. I think for best practices on any given dashboard, you'll have to reference that dashboard type's Help Doc to see the best way…
-
@GrantSmith - thanks for additional context. The main purpose of this in Google Sheets is simplicity. I got feedback that one of our main Domo dashboards was "too hard to navigate" and that they "just want to see the numbers". So my goal was to just make something extremely simple for the (un)super users that just want a…

@ArborRose is the GOAT Congrats Elliot!
-
Thanks @ColemenWilson ! Seems simple enough. Taking it one step further, I'm assuming that a flat simple format from Domo will be the best route, and then applying formatting/beautification natively within Google Sheets. Right? Just need to add headers and maybe a pivot table or two.

Starting a new thread @ArborRose I got the Overhead by just making a separate branch and then joining it back to the main dataset. Good to go! I think the last little piece of the puzzle is this: Since Overhead is calculated on each line (Grouped by Location, Plan/Budget, and Accounting Period) - the YTD Overhead is…
