Congrats on the achievement @david_cunningham and thanks for all the insightful contributions to the Community Forums!

I just tested this. Views will currently populate with Dataset count in the Direct Impact section. I had a dataset with no downstream, created a view, and it ticked up to 1 dataset. It would be visually helpful to see as a separate icon in that list. A "create view" button/tile isn't a bad idea either, to keep them…

@Stephanie_Price I had this happen to me as well before. Dan is referring to this area where I put the arrow for clarity. I'm also noticing it looks like a lot of things in the flow aren't mapped, this might be correct for your use case, but I'm wondering if it's why your dataflow won't publish. After you map the flow,…

@anna.yardley @Jonathan53891 This is awesome. Happy to see this collab happen!

In the current interface, you want to do the following steps starting in the upper right hand portion of the nav on a dashboard. Wrench → edit dashboard On the card you want to change, Edit Content → Change Interaction Select interaction type Drill in place Hope this adds some clarity to Grants explanation as to what steps…

Hi @LearningNinja Maybe Variables is the feature you are looking for? The use cases in the YouTube video are available on the Community Domo instance if you wanted to look at the "guts" of the variables / calculations. Jump to 17:25 if the link doesn't take you there, and see if this is what you're envisioning.

I think if I'm understanding your problem, I would use SUBSTRING to split your string based on position and characters. Based on your example: If the columns are variable in length, and there is no pattern or delimiter, I'm not sure there's a great solution even using regex as you need a pattern to be able to match with…

Hi @ColemenWilson I was unable to find this option as well. I would like to know where these are, alternatively would upvote this as an idea if it is not a current feature please tag me and I'll upvote.

Congrats @david_cunningham!

In my instance, I realized that I had added an appendToDataset function, but had not mapped the object as a variable. After clicking the create variable button, my Workflow successfully deployed.

I am encountering a similar error message during attempted deployment, with no validation issues. Was there any resolution to this issue? Failed to deploy to workflow engine, see logs for more details. Message: Command 'CREATE' rejected with code 'INVALID_ARGUMENT': Expected to deploy new resources, but encountered the…

This would be useful, upvoted!

Agree with @david_cunningham here, and wanted to point out even if the columns weren't the same, nothing stopping you from making your dataset super-wide and splitting the columns in MagicETL. In other words, you could put your tables side-by-side up to 18,278 columns of data then import.

For the Radial Gauge card there are not any Hover text settings. Confirming that there does not appear to be any way to change or hide this on the Radial Gauge chart type. Comparative fill gauge has these options, Radial does not. I would suggest posting this in the Idea Exchange, tag me and I'll upvote it.

I'd love to see some examples of well-designed and function rich dashboards using the new AppStudio feature in combination with Workflows.

NLTK is available for the Python scripting tiles in MagicETL 2.0, and offers sentiment analysis. You could also use NLTK in a Jupyter notebook. Using an LLM like ChatGPT could help get you started with Python, NLTK & VADER to get your sentiment analysis code up and running in Magic 2.0

This is an awesome idea, sort of like visible alerts providing context!

This is a great resource, thanks so much for posting it Ben!

Hello @MarcusJ223 I'd suggest taking a look at this KB Article: Particularly the Calculating Variance Variance CY-PY and Variance % ((CY - PY)/PY) as these sound like what you're looking to accomplish. From the article: Calculating Variance — Variance CY-PY Use the following code to create a calculation for the variance…

If I had a PowerPoint template I wanted other folks to download and use, I can upload it as a file. But it will not be applied to any export or anything like that. To upload a PowerPoint file that others could use, you can use the Doc Card, and then it will show up like any other Card on a dashboard, and allow downloading…

It might be possible… based on what you are asking and reading the articles, I do not think that this connection strategy is supported with out of the box connectors in Domo. I would suggest seeking help through your Domo account rep or opening a ticket to get a definitive answer.

@MichelleH To confirm, I can see the page, and the content. I am using Microsoft Edge. Have you tried other browsers? Other devices? Does your employer have some sort of Firewall or AdBlock in place?

Got a request for this today.
-
Just received another request from a client today for this, for automated reports / dashboards leaves a lot of whitespace where tables are updating to show current month with each row being a day.

Congrats @MarkSnodgrass ! Love your YouTube channel! Keep crushing it 💪

Not seeing or hearing anything on my end. indicates that everything (except for Twitter/Insta known issues) is fine. If it's repeating and consistent, I would suggest opening up a support ticket w/Domo

I'm also seeing this… I see that I can save a Custom Theme from within an AppStudio app, but I'm not seeing my Custom Theme in my options when I create or edit another app. I don't see anything regarding sharing these Custom Themes with other users in the KB, and have not heard any announcement or talk about this. Thanks…

@AnnaYardley @GrantStowell can this be re-opened or does a new Idea need to be submitted?

If it's a local file and you need to do it on a scheduled basis, check out Domo Workbench it has a JSON Local File option.
