I would like to have my dashboard and all the cards on it adjust dynamically/ automatically on the date grain (graph by Monthly, Weekly, Daily) based on how big of a timeframe is selected in the date range. (“multi-year = by month, 1 year = by week, 1 month = by day” ) If a multi-year is selected in the date range, I would like the date grain to be By Month. If a year is selected in the date range, I would like to see date grain be By Week. If a month is selected for the date range, I would like to see the date grain be by Day. Just like the UX in Google Maps … the more you zoom in, the more detail you see. If the default date grain is by month, and you select a date range of one month, it's just a dot. I think this enhancement could be modeled if you just had an option for Date Grain = "Automatic" for Dashboards. For non-technical users interacting with the dashboard, I want them to have a great experience also - and they may not know about the Date Grain … they may just wonder why the charts look weird. (Domo and the charts look a lot better if the date grain is appropriate for the date range … but currently I have to program each one, which is not great or intuitive for non-technical users.) I think this would help a lot of people. Maybe this Automatic Date Grain could be wired up as a Variable? (That's why I included it this Category … if it belongs in a different category, let me know.) Thanks!
