Currently, if a published dataset gets deleted- either by a change in the publication, or deleting the publication- any content built off that dataset in the subscriber instance also gets deleted.
It would be great to have an option for publication owners to change this behavior if they wish. I'm thinking of a toggle within the Create Publication or Edit Publication user flow where the owner could decide if they want content deleted by default (as it currently exists), or to override this feature and allow content to continue to persist in the subscriber even if the underlying dataset gets deleted.
It's understood that the persisted cards would be blank, but that would allow the publication owner to re-publish the dataset if they wish, and then the cards could be re-mapped to the new dataset.
