A recurring issue I have in Domo is that users can see and access pages for features they don't have permission to do anything with. For example, a user with no permissions for the mobile app can still see and click into Mobile in the admin menu; they just can't make any changes. This comes up over and over:
- Users with no access to workflows, queues, or the app store can see all of those as options to add to cards in App Studio, including seeing a list of apps available (though a little bird told me this one should be updated soon).
- In the new nav, all users have the Task Center and Code Engine available to them in the Features menu, regardless of permissions.
- In the new nav, everyone can access the Admin menu and see people, roles, and groups. They can't make any changes, but they can see which roles other users have and who is in each group. At least in the old nav they had to have a permission that gave them access to the Admin menu in order to see it.
There are several additional examples of things that my account team has hidden for my specifically upon request (Governance Toolkit, Downloads, etc.).
While I understand the desire to show what Domo can do, there is a reason I haven't given users these permissions, and I don't want to field all the phone calls with frustrations about "why can't I have this feature" or "why can I click into this but not do anything."
It would be amazing to either just hide everything users don't have permissions for, or at least give me control to do it myself.
