Allow dataset schema definitions to be published

With the ability to publish AI Readiness from a dataset in one instance to another, the dataset's schema definitions should also be publish-able.

This will allow us to set the definitions of a dataset from within our main dev environment and the end users within our prod environment to see those definitions inside analyzer. Currently we can set the definitions within our dev environment, but they disappear once we publish that dataset. We want to be able to provide as much context as possible where our end users are actually building their cards.

  • strong agree.

AI-readiness / datadictionary concept is distinct from a schema.

Domo should either retire schema or merge the two concepts, but users should have access to metadata in analyzer.

the lack of publishing dataset schema metadata (schema tab or ai-readiness) encourages users to NOT populate metadata in Domo which will hinder further development / adoption of the future semantic model.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING ensure that there is a cohesive strategy around schema, ai-readiness, enterprise-toolkit schema management, and the future semantic layer product and metadata that will be added to connectors. it would be INCREDIBLY frustrating to have each of these features exist in a vacuum where they don't know about each other because they were developed by separate teams…
