Improved Alert Email Notifications

Hi,

I'd like to see 2 additions to the Alert email design:

1. In the alert design, I'd like to have the option to include the card data as an attachment (like the export/share data attachment). The data would then be attached in the emailnotification of the Alert.

2. In the email notification, I'd like to have a link to the card that applies the filters of the alert to the card. So if the alert was based on certain filters applied to the card, then those filters would be applied when going to the card with this email link.


(I'd assign these changes a high priority.)

This isn't as good, but as an action tied to the alert, you can send a scheduled report. That scheduled report can be tied to a specific, filtered card as you describe, and there is an option to include the Excel dataset on the email. I did this for a report that I scheduled years in the future, so it's only sent based on the alert.

The downside is that the alert text is broken in the Scheduled Report, so you might want to send both the alert email and the report. It would be better if it was integrated more cleanly as you describe.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is not sufficient in my scenario because Scheduled reports will send an email even if there are no records on the card and for my scenario I have a card that can be 0 records. (I can have an Alert not to trigger when there are 0 records).

Also I wish to employ one card instead of several cards of the same card with different filters on them. I use different alerts to different people based on one card where each alert is a different filter combo applied to the generic card.

I'd like more functionality on the scheduled report as well, such as an option to not send the scheduled report if there are no records on the card.
