Boxplot Data Label Improvements

The options for the boxplot data label settings are pretty limiting. Although they have provided some great opportunities to visualise, due to their positioning (and options), I often struggle to present the data in a way that is accessible to the layman.
It does not make sense for the median to position itself above the upper whisker, yet this is where it resides. Can this please be adjusted so that we can place "in line" values, central values, or offset either side of the boxplot? Also, could either tooltips or the "count (n)" be added to the visual value options? It's often important to quantify how many items make up a boxplot, too.
