Variables to be able to reference a table

I would like to be able to reference a table in Variables.

For example. I'm using variables to calculate and adjust revenue numbers from USD$ to CAD$ by doing a simple calculation of the current exchange rate. I'm referencing the rate now manually and have to adjust it manually in the variable

What I would like is to be able to have the variable use the Open Exchange rate connector. I could then use my USD value and have the variables set up to reference currency codes and pull the most recent values from the Open exchange rate connector. The end user could select currency code in the variable and it would reference the most recent exchange rate and stay up to do date via the connector.
