Improved messaging when deleting a page

I deleted a parent page, which deleted multiple child pages. I didn't remember or know there were sub-dashboards associated to it. So, when developing this, please add the same "Are you sure" logic you have when you have to delete a dataset and show you everything associated to the page.

I get a message in my instance when I delete a page:

  • Yes, I got that. The suggestion is to list out the subpages because in this example, I didn't know there were subpages, as they were created years ago. If you delete out a dataset it will specifically tell you everything that is associated.

Got it! More like the lineage functionality.

  • I have run into this before. Same feedback for cards. It's too easy to delete a card that is in use elsewhere, particularly if you do not have access to the page because it won't show up in your move/copy!

I also recently deleted numerous sub-dashboards by accident :(

Ideally you receive a message similar to Datasets section, where it shows the actual Impact if you try to delete a dataset or dataflow that is active/has down-streamed content (e.g. when deleting dashboard, you see exactly how many sub-dashboards are impacted).
