Can I change the runtime of a datasource update without running the update upon save?

I have a datasource that is updating once a day using the append method. I made the mistake of setting the update to 12 AM not realizing it was UTM. So my data set updates way too early. Am I able to edit the data set to update at a later time daily, save it, and assume that the dataset will not append again upon save?
I do not want two updates for today.

Yes, you can change the schedule and save it. As long as you don't select Run Now, it will wait until the next scheduled time to run and pull your data in.
