Thanks @Gavatar, happy for the Timeline Brick to proceed to next step.

Hi @LyndonApthorpe, any updates on introducing comms on this forum for regular listings of APAC Domo positions?
-
Would it be possible to have tooltips enabled in this brick? I like the idea of saving space along the timeline by having a title (and perhaps short date) and then, as a tooltip, nested list of summary points, that can be shown through hover.
-
Hi @Gavatar, thanks for offering the workaround, I was thinking more on this design, below, to showcase current and upcoming projects: The timeline brick appears like a chat thread, serving perhaps as a way to pull out memorable quotes and comments for a live campaign or event, or an internal comms log on development.

Are you looking for a hassle-free file sharing repository for working with team members? Access to pull data from 100s of popular vendors through a connector library? Got 1M or 1Bn rows of data to work with but no central warehouse or easy analytics implementation from existing warehouses? If yes to any or all of theβ¦

Custom Connectors - With ever-changing technology climate and business use cases, it is great that a unique cloud connection can be configured and run in one's instance through Connector Dev Studio, allowing for agility and control in how to bring in relevant business data.

Drill Path to Chart: Another underrated feature, allowing for users to interrogate any part of a top-level chart to reveal the details (in a table or another chart type) that make up that drilled-into data point.
-
Domo Stories Dashboards: There was a time when layout of cards built would be limited to a collection or set of collections, without central positioning of filters and text. Still a bit underrated that proper dashboarding can be implemented, such as better control of size, colour and font, nowadays to align cards/charts toβ¦

Whether complimenting existing content on intranet or public website, or curating an engaging experience for one's stakeholders, the embedded analytics capabilities allows for greater access to data for others withβ¦

Variables & Control: A function within Beast Mode that allows users to explore different scenarios with the ability to key in various numbers to speculate on "what if" when analysing data.
-
Direct Sign-On: Bypassing SSO allows certain users (such as external to one's company) to access dashboards or dataflows to add further value (in data transformation and/or visualisation) or aid with decision-making processes.
-
Governance datasets: Allows for the measure of usefulness of datasets and cards, health of dataflow updates, and activity levels of users across the instance.
-
Role Management: For organisations seeking to improve adoption and data literacy, having a tailored set of roles permissions define paves the way for users to maximise the platform without rigid procedures, e.g. one team (based in one physical location) catering for multiple offices globally (particularly if there's aβ¦
-
Domo Alerts: Convenient to have marked out dates/times to review charts/content before making a business decision (over any changes in values) or administrative actions (such as updating the look of a chart if graph goes beyond axis boundaries).
-
Scheduled Reports: Suited for the 'pressed for time' stakeholders (or preferring to receive details without seeking themselves) to get timely reporting (e.g. before a key meeting) at their convenience, an entire dashboard, or sections, can be sent through a curated mailing list.
-
Writeback/Upsert Connectors: Leveraging Domo's data visibility and transformation features, users can build and execute logic to fill in missing or update records, without needing to perform manual steps and at a controlled schedule.

This is a great option for adding context to a set of numbers, particularly for large, multi-region organisations where having sessions to provide initial overviews or updates are not feasible. This is also great way to build a log of key insights and/or actions taken in the past based on the change of numbers (e.g. Totalβ¦

Certified Content: Seeing a badge on top of dashboard content and backend steps is means of increasing adoption and trust, making the data experience less about performing own checks on data relevance and accuracy but more on driving the actions, from the data, to drive business impact.

Tooltips: Depending on the type of charts, tooltips can be enabled to provide one or more measures as hover text to add more details to the chart display.
