@vivekmani28 A "multi cloud" solution with Snowflake would mean that data is imported from Snowflake into Domo and the data is stored on your instance. The federated version of Snowflake is a connection to your Snowflake instance but the data isn't stored in Domo. Instead, whenever the data is needed (viewing a card with…

@kpmwinston Unfortunately, since the Customer Name or Customer Address aren't exactly the same, you won't be able to join them together. In Magic ETL, you could use some formulas to modify names and addresses so they match, but I'd imagine you'd have a lot of records to change so it wouldn't be feasible.

@Christianjmzc @a10hall This is actually normal behavior for SQL. If you tried it in SQL server or MySQL, you would get the same result because in SQL, nulls don't work with logical operators as you'd expect. This Wikipedia entry explains it pretty well:
-
@damen What does the data look like? If the field contains things like 'Not Repeat' with not at the beginning, then you could use a formula tile and do: REPLACE('Not ',`Col A`,'Replacement ') --Note the space after Not This would work if Not is the first word for the data in the column, but it depends on what your data…

@pstrauss Nulls don't play well logical operators. Null doesn't mean there's no value, it means the value is unknown. Is the null in column_1 equal to A? SQL doesn't know. It might or it might not, so SQL treats at as meeting the condition. That's a simplified answer, but this gives a more in depth explanation: So you will…
-
@Stuck You'll need to use the line break tag from HTML. If you put <br> as the data label, it will make the header blank.
-
@damen For the null values, would you mind just posting the Loan ID and the Application_Key before the alter columns for a couple of those rows? It looks like it would be an issue where the Application_Key doesn't exist in the Powerlender dataset or isn't matching up to the Loan ID.

@ggountanis Points to dollars: 'points' / 10 (ex: for 500 points, 500/10 = $50 Or going from dollars to points: 'dollars' * 10 (ex: for $50, 50*10 = 500 points) You're not really dropping a zero, you're just moving the decimal point one spot over.
-
@NateBI Nulls don't play well with logical operators. Null isn't the same thing as nothing, it really means that the value is unknown. Is null blue? SQL doesn't know so it treats it as if it meets the condition. You can use a formula rule to get around this: IFNULL('status','') = 'Blue' This will replace your NULL value…
-
@Shwane You can use CASE WHEN and LIKE to accomplish this (assuming it's just the three things you're looking for: case when 'post' like '%#yummy%' or 'post' like '%#donut%' or 'post' like '%#CZ%' then 'Yummy/Donut/CZ' else 'Other' end If you have a bunch more tags that you would need to extract, then it gets a bit more…
-
@pstrauss You would just do the opposite of what you're wanting to remove: column 1 is null and column 2 is not null

@HimanshuB I've never used Salesforce, but you would probably need to contact whoever your Salesforce admin is and ask them to update the permissions. If you need to do it but don't know how, you could just google it or there's probably a Salesforce knowledgebase that would explain how to do it.
-
@HimanshuB Hard to tell, but it looks to me like their Salesforce account doesn't have access to that environment in Salesforce. They might need some additional access/permissions in Salesforce.
-
@zuchu You will want to use a Rand & Window tile: You'll do a sum of the costs and partition by the order number. This will give you the total of the order on each row that the order number appears.
-
@Juliane You will want to do these in Analyzer if you're planning on doing any dynamic filtering or date filtering. In ETL, you won't be able to do aggregations and still maintain your raw data. In those cases, you will want to do aggregations in Analyzer. When you want to sum things that meet certain conditions, you will…
-
@JackB116 you are on the right track. When you want to look at multiple conditions, you want to use 'and'. So you would just replace 'then when' with 'and' CASE when `Invoiced Month` in ('10', '11', '12') and 'Invoiced Year' = '2022' and `Sales Order Type` in ('PRE ORDER', 'PRE ORDER POST DEADLINE') then `Row Net` else 0…

@jrtomici Yes, variables can be set as controls that users can change on controls and dashboards.
-
@jrtomici You can look into using variables for this. Make the inputs 'Total A' and 'Total B', and then create a beast mode like: case when 'Variable' = 'Total A' then 'Total A' (or beast mode calculation) when 'Variable' = 'Total B' then 'Total B' (or beast mode calculation)
-
@jrtomici Do the same UID's appear in multiple rows? If so, that may be the issue. If for example, each UID appeared 10 times, then there's actually 190 "values" or rows and it's just showing the unique ones. I've seen that happen with dashboard filter cards. On your filter, if you use a count of UID in the Optional Group…
-
@sfinnegan You wouldn't be able to do it because if multiple inputs were selected, how would your beast mode/equation know what the result should be? Ex: Using numbers as an example, if you had to evaluate if x=1, and you set x equal to 1 and 2 at the same time, your evaluation wouldn't know if the result is true or false.…

@Logan_Jolly That sounds like a good time to implement PDP's. For the PDP's you would need to set up a trusted attribute (email, employee id) that you use in the data to identify their data in the table rows. You would then add users who need to see everything to the All Data PDP, and then set up a PDP using that trusted…
-
@Logan_Jolly Depending on what the restriction is you want to apply and your data, you could look into PDP's. This would be applied to the dataset, so as long as the PDP would be fine across any card on this dataset, then you could set up a PDP so the user can only see a certain department or type of product or any other…

@Devin_Garrison As a side note, if you just need those timestamps to show up in a card in 24 hour format, it actually displays them that way without needing to do anything. I tried it out with a couple of timestamp columns in my data and it displayed everything in 24 hour format. It seems that when you look at them at the…
-
@major_ace Try: case when IFNULL('Services',0)>0 then 'Services'/'Deal_Amt' end Your blank services amount fields are probably null not blank and nulls don't play nice with logic operators.
-
@jhartley case when 'Field1' = 'Field2' then 'Match' else 'No Match' end
-
@tlammie1806 If you want certain pages to be in the same order for everyone then you have to create the pages in the 'Company page settings' in Admin>Company settings. This is the only way I know of to have pages stay in the same order. Users can customized the order of any pages you create using 'Manage Dashboards'.
-
@jrtomici You can use the DomoStats app from the appstore to find activity log information. If you search DomoStats in the appstore, you'll also find a few pre-built apps that might be useful for this as well.

@Aaron_Polzin_EXT I think it would be helpful to know what the bigger picture is of what you're trying to accomplish. Could you provide a sample of your data with the relevant columns you'll be using, and what end result you would expect for the various 'Year Offset' and 'Quarter Offset' scenarios? This will help with…
-
@Aaron_Polzin_EXT If 'Year Offset' already exists and you want to use that value and substract from it in your new column, then your beast mode would be: case when QUARTER(SYSDATE()) = 1 then 'Year Offset' - 1 else 'Year Offset' end Is 'Year Offset' a column that is already present in your data?
-
@Aaron_Polzin_EXT If the column/beast mode you want to create is 'Year Offset' then it looks like the second one would work. You would just need to eliminate the 'Year Offset' portion of the formula: case when QUARTER(SYSDATE()) = 1 then -1 else 0 end Or if the 'Year Offset' column already exists in your data, then you…
