From my understanding, the limit is not on the number of rows but how much data is shown. Hence, the less columns you show, the more rows should show.

As Aaron mentioned earlier, you'll have to create a DSN/ODBC entry on your machine to create the connection to the DB server. then you can use that ODBC connection in Wokrbench to connect to the DB.

make sure the 'Group by' is set to Month.

I haven't been able to use OR statements succesfully in beast mode but I don't think it will count it separately because, from my understanding of how the case statement works, as soon as it gets to the first condition that is true, it will stop going through the rest of the statement. For example, if a record meets…

I believe since you kept the single quotes around the 0, i think it still treated the vaue as a string. For numeric values, you do not need any quotation around them.
-
I think the problem is if the case statement is true, you're returning a string but when it's false, you have it returning a number. they need to be the same.

Can you share youre beast mode/calculated field?
-
The only way i've been able to do this is by adding another column in the dataset that provides the total. you want the total to be at the same granularity as your card. So if your card is going to show weekly totals make sure your total column is weekly totals as well. When adding it to the summary number, you probably…

on the top right, if you click on the wrench, you should get a drop down menu where you have an option to delete.
-
make sure you don't have any duplicate column names or columns with no column headers.
-
make sure your ah_id column is not set to 'no aggregation'. set it to sum

if you're connecting using Google Sheets connector, i don't think there's any way to change the data type. So, the next easiest thing to do is to create a new BeastMode column for each of the columns you want converted to value and in the beast mode multiply each of the columns by 1. Doing this will convert the new beast…

you can export it to an excel or csv file. CLick on the menu on the top right and select Data Center. From the next page select DataSets from the left pane and then find the dataset you want to export and click on it. Once you're in the details of the dataset, click on the buttom on the top right with the wrench on it and…

if you're looking to show sales by month, by product category and by location, all on one chart, i don't think you can do that. What i've done in similar situations is build the initial chart by month and by lets say location and then have a drill through chart that shows it by product category. one problem with this…
-
Do you have another chart/table built to drill into or are you drilling into the final data grid view? Check the beast mode field and make sure you have the "Share calculation on dataset" checkbox on the bottom right of the beast mode screen checked.
-
i don't believe that's possible. if both were using the same datasource, you may be able to use page filters to filter all charts on the page. If it's possible to combine the datasets, instead of using filters, you may want to build drill through charts so instead of filtering for something on the chart, the user can click…

MONTHNAME funciton only works with columns that are loaded as Date or Date/time data type(i.e. 1/1/2017). From your description, looks like you're loading the DateCol as a numeric column.
-
Are you trying to do this on a chart or a table? You can format labels or hover overs to show value fields in various formats. Can you provide little more detail as to where you're trying to do this formatting?
-
go into the Beast mode field and make sure the 'Apply to Summary number' check box is checked.
-
the easiest way would be to create a sort order beast mode field. Lets say your stacked bars are North , south, east and west. your beast mode would look something like this Case when `region` = 'north' then 1 when `region` = 'south' then 2 when `region` = 'east' then 3 when `region` = 'west' then 4 else 9 end use this…

You can use a beast mode to create a string to be used as a summary number. However, you have to do this by concatinating text string with an aggregation of some sort (i.e. sum or count). Without an aggregation in the beast mode, you wont be able to use the field in the Summary. Below is an example that says 'Drill down 1…

I've never seen that either.

What button are you clicking on? there should be Add Card button on the top right of each page which allows you to Design the charts you need. So, click on Add Chart > Design which will take you to a page where you pick to load data or pick an existing dataset.
-
if you don't want the scale to change, you can set a min and max for the scales under the properties as well. the downside of doing this is if any of the values go above or below the specified range, you'll have to manually adjust.
-
Try something similar to this in beast mode and make sure to check the "Apply to Summary Number" checkbox in the best mode window: SUM(Case when `LineOfBusiness` = "Direct" then `Value` else 0)/Sum(`Value`) Replace the `LineOfBusiness` and `Value` with the field names from your dataset
-
you're correct. It has to be an aggregation for you to be able to use it as the Summary Number.
-
if your total quantities field has 0's then it will error. You may have to Sum the denominator as well.
-
You can't change the line to a dash line in Domo
-
What we've done before is add a last day, last week or last month indicator column and populated the column with an X for those records. Then in Domo, you just add a filter to the cards so it only shows where the Last Day/Week/Month column is set to X. The donwside of doing it this way is that the time grain at the top…
